View Full Version : Galion grader
Sorry if I got this in the wrong place.
This was at Jacktown this weekend,
Blue Mountain Antique Gas and Steam Engine Assoc., Inc. (http://www.jacktown.com),
The story was.....It was made by and in the Galion plant and was made for one of their salesmen. It ended up at a campground to grade their roads and was then traded in on a new Kabota. The present owner was friends with the Kabota dealer and got first dibs on it.
I'm thinking it must be about 1/3 scale??

I operated a small Gallion like that cleaning up an olive orchard. The one I ran did not have a cab on it and it had a 6-cylinder Cummins Diesel powering it. It was a perfect size for grading in between the trees.

I was gonna go to that show, but ended up under the hood of my wife's mini-van instead. Boy it was hot and humid all weekend. After fixing the van, I was spent for the rest of the day. I felt bad for missing the show as I always enjoy it, but just couldn't deal with the heat.
:bannana: No problem Joe, ROF , I had enough fun for both of us!!
:banghead3 BUT, Kevin was there and we didn't hook up!!
The food lines were moving MUCH faster and the homemade ice cream was GREAT!! ROF

You had to go and mention the homemade icecream? AAARRRGGGHHHH! :banghead3 Kevin is alwys there real early in the morning and typically gone before lunch. I've met him a couple of times, pretty nice guy, and an excellent craftsman. If you've seen photos of some of his work, they look better in person.
Heck with want to see it in person. I'd like to have something like that to play with. It looks like a real sweet machine. :bannana:
They loaded up the pics on the site. Lots of old iron!! :fing32:

Jody, I'll try and find you some shows down in your neck of the woods. Keep an eye open on the tractor show forum.
