This is all new to me. I just got it tonite. I apologize for the photo quality. The Camera is a Poloroid A-310 and does not seem to take good photos at all.:(

I spotted the Tiller in a pile of other stuff and asked for it. My intention was to mount an engine on it and tow it around with my Murray.
But then he said he had the tractor that pulled it. Holy cow!
Yes I was intrigued.
This thing has been out of use for a millenium and nobody's alive today that ever saw it working.
I hope I can count on some advice and information from you guys.

It looks like it had a belt that came from the B-110 to the tiller. In the photo you can see the pully on the tiller, and its all rusted. Hasn't been used in awhile. Maybe one of you guys have one that's working, or had one that you can relate some experience to me?

The B-110 has a Hydraulic pump and will lift the tiller off the ground for transport.

He told me the Generator is a Dyno-motor. Meaning it's also the starter. I sure hope that's in good shape.

Dont be shy now. Did I just bury myself with a bunch of 'impossible to maintain' junk?

My intention is to get it running and use that tiller. What do you think?

Like Mayor said it is a tank, You will find that they made all kinds of attachments for these tractors. Here is a link to the parts manual to help you with your future addiction.:goodl:

Nice find! It should be one heavy duty unit for you! The B-110 was built about 1967 and 1968 if I remember correctly. The hydro lift is a much sought after attachment. These tractors were built by Simplicity. Parts and accesories shouldn't be hard to find as most of the parts and attachments fit many tractors over the years.
In your first picture it looks like someone has put a round hood from an earlier model on your tractor. The B-110 was the first to use a flat top hood which had a raised part on the dash that was hinged to get to the battery and gas tank. I'll post a picture of my B-110.
Good luck on your tractor, it should make a fine tractor for you to use!

Those are built tough, yet simple to work on. I have a 110 and a 112 and love them for gut work (plowing, snowblowing, tilling, and moving dirt around with the front blade.

There are plenty of parts available for them and if you come across a mower deck for it, you will love the way it mows and the finish you get. The hydro lift on your 110 is a BONUS, normally brining around $250 on e-bay for just the hydro lift.

Here are some pics of the tiller mounted to my 112. You will notice the extra pulleys and clutch mechanism needed for the tiller. If you don't have them, I would check where you got it and see if they are buried anywhere.

Ow WoW, Thanks so much TractorMike and Simplelife.
Those photos tell a tale allright. Now I gotta go look and see what I have left.
The guy I got it from, got it from a Deceased BIL. The land is gone and the stuff left over went to the local metal recycler. The junk man did it!

Mike my machine looks exactly like yours. Mine has the mower deck too. But the seat and rust looks exactly like mine.

I cannot get the front wheel off. I got the Allen screw loose and the spacer/bearing holder off, but the bearings seem to be siezed to the shaft.
Any hints there?

With the front jacked up, try tapping around the backside of the rim with a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer. Check to make sure there are no burrs on the axle shaft. Spray with PBlaster or other penetrating oil. If all else fails, drive it around without the locking collar, it will come off. :Stop:

I guess I'll have to get it started and operating first eh?
Thanks for the tip.
What I need now is a schemetic of the Ignition and start circuit.
I got the Neutral safety switch working.
The starter will turn the engine over if I short across the Relay.
But I dont have any fire to the plug and no +12 to the start relay.
Can anybody help me out there?

The manual that tec2484 mentioned above will be a valuable asset as you begin to work on this tractor, and it's free other than the cost of printing it out.

Here is the wiring diagram I have for the B-110 and B-112.

Tec n' Mike, thanks a bunch.
I copied that book. Some of the pages printed out in reverse. You have to hold em' up to a mirror to read em'. Odd eh?

What connection does Simplicity have with the little AC Graden tractors?
Did one of the (Names) make them both?

I'm really dissapointed that I dont have the pullys to run the power take off. Shucks!
Now I've got to go on a long scavenger hunt for some stuff that may cost too much to be worth the effort and money. Shucks!

Simplicity and AC were virtually identical except for a period of time that AC made the 300 & 400 series tractors. Some of the Simplicities had a sticker that read "Simplicity, an Allis Chalmers company". They also made a few for Montgomery Ward (the Squire series), J.C. Penney, and Homelite.

There is a short interesting history of them here.

That was a great read mike. Thanks for the tip.
I havent had a chance at the AC today. Been Discing with the JD-430 and then Tilling with a little garden tiller. I'm a real Gardener now. A sod buster!

That big JD-460 is tough to handle in an enclosed Garden space. This one only has one brake so I gotta make all left turns.

Thanks to the Ignition schemetic, I went right through the the ignition problem.
It turned out to be a bad switch. The fuse was blown to bits inside the glass tube. When that happend it appearntly burned the Contacts open in the ignition part of the switch.

I traced the problem down to the ignition module in the front left side of the Motor. I'll have to raise the tractor up tomorrow to see what's what down there. Too low for me to bend down and look, but it appears to be a short to ground down there in that Points/Condenser module.

I dont know where the Numbers are located on the Tractor or the Engine.
Anybody can help out there?

Just bought a B-110 on 5-23-2008 for $500.00. It runs and came with the tiller which I used today and was already installed, 42" snow blade, wheel weights and the mower deck. Does anyone have pictures of the belt hookup for the mower deck Any help would be appreciated

My B-110 has the mower deck. I'll get some photos for you soon.

I need some close up's of the Power take off pullys, springs, levers and stuff that run that Tiller. I believe I'm never gonna find that stuff for sale. I'll have to make it out of used parts, so I'll need some detailed photos.

thud - if your camera program has a "mirror" function you may be able to take a pic of the material that printed out in reverse and right it on your puter.

The attached picture was taken in a mirror. Of course they put the numbers the back side of the appliance. I didn't want to move it out from the wall so I mirrored it and changed it on the computer to make it read better.

The model, type and code numbers should be stamped in the flywheel shroud. If you go to www.simpletrACtors you can find more information about your tractor.
