Not a bad looking unit. 57 hp with cab and loader.. 4x4 diesel air and heat.. two rear hydros.. 39000 plus tax of 5% I sure am being drawn to one. I rented one for a weekend and sure liked it. :sorry1: I'm sorry JD fans.. I may have to have another breed in the barn soon.:hide: My ole father is going to diss own me.:banghead3

I saw the Montana's at a farm show recently and they do look nice but where are they built?

They are Korean and JB Hunt was the one with some partners to bring them to the states under the Montana name.

Montana (LG Montana)[57](by LS/LG, Universal UTB, TYM)
LS Tractors is an engineering company. It is a division of LS Cable in South Korea. The group was originally part of the LG conglomeration, and was known as LG Tractors and LG Cable, respectively.
LS is associated with Mitsubishi tractors of Japan for technology, and many tractors are based on Mitsubishi designs, as well as use Mitsubishi engines. LS also imports New Holland Ag tractors to resell as LS-New Holland. (They originally had agreements with Fiat, which purchased New Holland. New Holland is a division of CNH Global).
LS currently builds tractors for Farmtrac, a division of Escorts Agri of India, for sale in North America; for Montana Tractors for sale in North America; and as of 2005, for Mahindra of India, and TAFE Tractors of India also for sale in North America.
TYM also manufactures for Montana

I'd be leary, folks seemed to like Farmtrac too, and look where that company is now...and their customers!

My reason for looking else where is i am having a hard time swallowing the price for a 5000 series with a cab.. I would buy a 2020 or even a 1020 but no cab and it will need work sooner then later..Finding those with a loader is difficult up here and they still sell for 12000 to 15000 bucks..

I have a friend who has one but I'm unsure of what model but I do know he has been very well pleased with it.

Just got my copy of Farm Show mag. Some of the folks didn't give the Montana tractors very good marks.
