Mf 12

Just got a MF 12 free .No motor or right running board.
Some one tried a motor trans plant bloched it and gave up and threw stuff away like running board and pulley.Dose anyone know what size it is?

I can't help you on parts,but it's a shame they did that to that tractor as it otherwise appears to be in great shape!Nice find I hope you can get it up and running!

That tractor would have had a 12hp Kohler single in it.

Looks like a nice tractor there.

Thanks I knew the engine size ,just looking for a pulley size .I have a B&S to put in.

That's a nice looking Massey you have for a project! I might have a running board for you if you are interested in it.
The model 12 would have had an hh120 tecumseh engine in it. The 10 and 12's had tecumseh and the 14 and 16 had kohlers I believe. I can measure the pulley on one of my stock Massey tractors but they originally had a wide belt more like a snowmobile belt from the engine to the variable pulley and then a little more conventional looking belt for the variable pulley to the tranny pulley. I did modify the drive belt system on my narrow front Massey to use standard v belts but I also changed the ratio to slow it down because of the larger 15 inch rear wheels on it.
I did get a set of new original belts from the local AGCO dealer for one of the other Masseys. If I remember right the pair was around $90.00.

This guy has a lot of MF 10 parts on E-Bay right now. Many of them should fit your 12 also.

TractorMike is correct, it came with an HH120 Tecumseh cast iron engine. It requires a special pulley for the wide variable speed belt. I believe I might have one, but will have to look.
