Been looking at a Massey 1655 tractor. Kind of curious what something like that is worth. Looks like it would handle a snow plow for sure, i can't find alot of info on it but curious what other emplements it would handle.

I've got an 1855MF, same tractor except for B48 motor(18hp) and the decal on the side of the hood. I've got a FEL, a back-hoe, box-blade,brush hog, tiller, and several other implements and it handles all of them just fine. Value is kinda up to condition and etc. Keep in mind both Snapper and MF has quit all parts for these tractors. I'm putting power steering on mine in the neart future, got all the pieces from a 400JD and I'll adopt them to my tractor. They are tough little tractors, I've done things with mine I really should have had a bigger tractor for but it just keeps going and going and going and going!

I have a 1655 that I bought 4 years ago. Good running condition, but the 54" blade deck needs some TLC as the gearbox leaks out the gear lube in a few mows.

Mine came with a 48" snow thrower attachment, chains, the 3-point hitch (Cat-0), 54" blade deck, and 42" tiller. I have not used the snowblower attachment yet, but might this winter. I also bou-ght a *//48" scraper blade for it to clear deep weeds and level my gravel drive. It has worked extremely well.

I have had to put new tires on it, a new coil, condensor, plug wire.... and put some new bushings in the steering. So I have about $300 into it with those parts. I paid $800 for it. I still need to fix the charging system, I just plug it into a battery tender to keep it charged up.

It is not perfect, but it runs solid, and has done everything I have wanted it to. I have not found any new parts for the tractor itself, but most of the wear items are common to other tractors, like engine parts (Onan powers lots of skidsteers), the hydrostatic drive is a Case unit etc... Many of the other parts can be fabricated if needed. I have a pretty decent set of fabrication tools, and I like to tinker, so if I ever need something, I can make most of what I need.

So, my $800 purchase is something I am happy with. Hope this helps.

That was a VERY good buy at $800. I've got the shop manuel&parts book for the 1655/1855 tractors, mowers, snowthrower, frt blade. Most of the time it's the diode/retifier that goes on the charging system, I've got the wireing diagram, would copy it and send it if needed.
