Anyone know where to get the blades for my newly aquired Jacobsen Suoer Chief 1450 48" 3 Blade deck?

After selecting "Jacobsen", blades start on page 7, hopefully you know or can obtain your OEM # from the old blade, it may expedite things.

If your deck is original, it should be a 42" cast aluminum or magnesium deck. The 2 outer blades are about 12 3/4" long and the center one is about 18 1/2" long.
If this is the deck that you have, the blades can be found at a New Holland dealer. Part #REX-500903. I just had to order a set for about $40 including tax. This went way up from the $25 they were a couple of years ago.

Bob,
Maybe this deck is not the original as it says 48" right on it. And judging from the weight it is not aluninum.
You mentioned you have 3 of these tractors. I think I am missing some parts for this one.. like the electric PTO mounting brackets, the battery cover and a few linkage parts. Let me know if you are interested in selling some stuff. he gas cap is broken as well, but I can just put a normal one on it as I don't think I need the fuel guage cap unless you have that as well..
Thanks
Hopefully I'll have some time to get pics this weekend. then maybe you can help me a bit with identifying what is missing
BTW this is a pretty cool tractor, no wonder people like them

John, I'll have to look at what I have. I know I don't have any extra fuel caps - I'd actually like to buy some new aftermarket caps with the gauges. You can't read the gauge on the 2 originals I have and they leak a little.
You just missed a battery cover on Ebay. I don't have any extras.
Looking forward to seeing those pics.
BTW, it's entirely possible that the deck you have is original. I'm just familiar with the 42" which is the only one I've seen on these models.

John, if your still interested there is a PTO bracket along with some other parts that should fit your tractor on Ebay -

I can't decide if I want to part out the extra one I have or restore it.

Thanks Bob,
I sent the guy an email to see if he will ship to Canada. As always that is a problem with getting tractor parts and snomo stuff as well.

Thanks for the heads up on that Ebay stuff Bob, I won the auction and have been talking with the guy a lot on the net, he had an old Jacobsen that he had taken everything he needed to rebuild one his son has, so eventually he stripped everything else he could get off the frame (wiring harness , pulleys etc) and I got it all (35lbs worth) shipped to my BIL's door for 45 bux shipping included. Very nice guy who has had more bad luck in one week than anyone deserves in a lifetime.. Still no battery cover but oh well. BTW could you get a pic of one of your battery covers and the dimensions and then I could make one?
Thanks
