This is BK again, thanks for the help, but, I'm still stuck.
'mark777's help got me started on the tear down.
but I'm wondering if I'm doing this right. This seems a drastic action for what would seem a pretty common prob.
and how can I be certain I have things 'in order' before re-assembly? I marked all parts and their relative position so far. What can I expect when I lift off the rocker shaft assembly?
I am attaching a pic of the WIP.
Please send any help you may see fit.
thanks again,
BK in dire straights...

BK,
If you can describe in some detail of what happened before..and during the operation, maybe we can diagnose the problem a little better.
Now I could be wrong, but from your earlier post I made the assumption that because there was a misadjustment on the draft control the rock shaft lift arms were allowed to over extend (raise too high) which causes the internal rod (piston) to slip out of the hydraulic cylinder.
If this is indeed what happened, think of this in more familiar terms like a hydraulic clutch slave cylinder...the plunger (piston) rod is activated by an external force from linkage that opens and closes to pre determined positions via the stops on the external draft control links to the rock shaft........
OR...LOL, the piston fell half way out and is now jambed. Kind of works like the two halves in the middle of your toilet paper roller :).

Hey BK,
I got your pictures, and I can't tell much about what's happening. If you haven't already, I think you need to remove the top assembly, turn it over and physically actuate the remaining arm to see what is happening.
I figure you'll see how the system operates and should be able to make repairs from there.
Mark
BTW: I will attach your pic's as we may have a member that has an Allis Chalmers or Simplicity tractor very close to your model (As Hinomoto made them for both companies).

Like Mark said , remove the housing & turn it over. The cause of the problem should be rather obvious.

Thank You Len!
Always nice when you stop by.
BK, should you need parts I would waste little time searching around and contact Len. One of the very few top authorities on 'All' gray market tractors and equipment.
