As some of y'all have been following my "Soap Opera of the F30" through all the twist an turns. This shows up today:
You have the opportunity to purchase this item ( the same item) at your bid price.
The ex winner had some problems and couldn't handle the situation (he told me something about his daugher being sick), so following eBay's sugestion, I've contacted you this way.
The deal will go strictly according to eBay's rules and policy regarding to this second chance offer.
I'll handle the shipping, so this will be free of charge for you + I am willing to deduct you with the fee for handling the payment procedure.
Also, a refund policy will be included.
Just follow my directions- everything will become clear after you'll receive the instructions set from eBay, and for that, I need to know your eBay user ID, name and address. You'll also receive important guidelines + instructions from them
Looking forward to hearing from you.
This is wierd:
1. The winning bid was over $2400
2. He is willing to sell in to me for $910 (why?)
3. He willing to ship it here freely (why?)
4. A refund policy will be also included (why?)
When things are to good to be true, they usually are:
What is y'alls take?

Kind of hard to take in good faith with all the scams and unscroupulous dealing that goes on on ebay. If it was within driving distance perhaps.

Agreed. Don't buy it. Either the seller is trying to scam you or someone got his info through a scam and is using it to mess with you. It makes you wonder if the original sale was bogus or not.

How did you contact the seller? via this fishy e-mail? or by the message service provided to ask questions on the Ebay site where the item is displayed (correct way to get to him and not someone else)?

I am new to ebay, but I am no fool (heck I am on mytractorforum a no fools zone of the internet). The names didn't add up and selling outside of ebay didn't add up either. It was all far to good to be true! They saw I was fast pay and they thought they could get a fast buck (910 of them!).
Hope our member at mytractorforum learn from us

Wow! That's just insane.
I've been in a situation where the seller didn't complete the transaction with the winning bidder (IMO - they had friends bid up the price) and then worked back through previous bidders until they sold it. I bought some RAM this way (originally it was bundled with a video card).
Like bernie & Joe said, notify eBay & drop it in your 'trash'.

THat is a scam, when you send a second chance offer it will never ask for personal info it will tell you to log in and it will be in your messages.

Didn't you say in the previous thread that it was fairly close by and you were going to drive over and take a look? What happened?

Well things were not really adding up, yes it was fairly close by (130 miles).
But the seller started offering things that were to good to be true.
Then started asking for personnel information that he didn't need for a transaction.
So I email the winning bidder. He was willing to sale it to me for $2700 which would have been a fair price not the $910 the so-called seller was offering it at and this bogus seller Ebay ID was not the one on the auction page.
