That pic brings back a lot of memories. I learned to drive a tractor on an old Minnie. (In fact, a "U" I think. Does the U have a hand clutch on the right side, and a platform to stand on and a seat that swings from side to side?)
My brother taught me when I was about 9 years old. He tied a rope around my waist and the other end around the hand clutch. That way, if I fell off, it would pull the clutch and stop the tractor.
One of the places we farmed was 160 acres with only a small 1 acre homesite, so we could go around the whole thing. I can't tell you how long it takes to moldboard 160 acres with a 3-bottom moldboard and an old Minnie, but it was a LONG time.
I used to hang a water bag on the light on the right-hand fender. That old Minnie (last time I saw it) had all the paint sc***** off the fender where that water bag hung and rubbed for thousands of hours.
Thanks for the memories, and enjoy your Minnie.
