oliver 550 problems

ok a buddie of mine has a oliver 550 and it has problems running. well actually it will run but only on choke and once you give it half throttle it dies. what could this be ? it has a brand new carb rebuild in it. the settlement bowl is filling up so i dont think its lack of fuel. what else could be wrong ? we are stumped. please help him he kinda relies on this tractor.

is there a fuel filter in the line check to see if its clear, check the sediment bowl for a screen in it that may be plugged, then check the line, check to see if theres fuel getting to the carb bowl (past the needle and seat) if all that doesn't help try backing the main jet out a 1/2 turn or so see if it gets any better if none of that helps recheck the float level
