Copied from Lynettes post on the WMSTR Forum...

MSEA (Minnesota Steam Engine Association) is holding their Annual Spring Steam-Up and meeting on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Larson Welding & Machine in Fargo, ND. Their will be a Frick engine and 75 Case steamer and some other engines operating. There is a noon dinner served by the WMSTR gals with the MSEA meeting following. We are looking for another good turnout of folks--it's also a good time to get some visiting done!http://www.wmstrcommunityforum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Let us pray for warmer weather than we are having right now!

This is always a great time folks! Lots of stuff to see and do! The Avery is not there this year... we did not break anything last fall, so it is in storage out in Rollag, but there will be engines running, Jerry's Prony Brake will be getting warmed up, and I imagine the straddle truck will be running around.

I'll get pictures for those who cannot make it!

Hi Mark and all,

I will see you Saturday morning. The Blue Brake will get loaded Friday evening and set up at Larson's Saturday morning.

I am looking forward to checking out a Frick steam engine and a Case steam engine. I am not certain what was done to the Case, the Frick was completely rebuilt. This rebuild was unusual in that the boiler is still in excellent shape and just about every moving part in the engine was worn. Usually on rebuilds the boiler takes a BUNCH of money and time to fix (or replace) and the engine doesn't need as much work.

Fricks are not common in our part of the world, so it will be a rather unique engine for us.

If any other MTFer's are there, stop by and say "Hi,"
