Just bought a new Kioti DK45S w/loader last week. Traded a 800 Ford diesel. Had the Ford for 8 years and used it a lot. Also worked on it quite a lot. Got the Kioti because there is a real good local dealer nearby. He'll fix any tractor, is reasonably priced, and a quality guy to do business with. If a plug's allowed - Jon Parks Tractor and Machine, Lancaster NH. Don't know if the Kioti will 50 years like the Ford, but am sure I won't. I have 38 acres & retirement home in northern NH. That's where the tractor gets used the most. Am going to get a subframe kit & mount an older Long backhoe on it. Will use it for snowmobile trail/woods road work & wildlife feedplots, hopefully well into my old age. Would be interested to hear any experiences re; Kioti tractors. Also have a '43 Cat D& & 67 Case 580, just so I don't seem completely un -American with my Korean tractor. MikeD74T

PS Found this site thru an ACME posting by KOO (King of Obsolete). He's a real interesting character.Registration wouldn't let me use him as a referal. Probably an omen? Will probably see more ACME members show up here. They're a real quality group.

:ditto: Those that owned them seem real pleased with their tractors--back when I used to lurk on some other boards. :D

Mike, first off welcome to MTF! :trink40: All of the folks that I know who own Kioti are VERY satisfied with them and I am sure you will be as well. I bet that cab with A/C is SWEEEEEET in this 90 plus degree heat! I imagine it will be even more appreciated during winter. Be sure to post your impressions and a review of your new DK45S periodically so all of our members can get some good feedback on this line of machines. Feel free to jump right in and enjoy! :trink39:

Welcome to MTF!
BIL bought a CK30 HST last Spring. He likes it ok, but it isn't the machine he thought he was buying! He has had to be REAL careful With what implements he buys and has already broken several things on it. He got REAL mad when he buried a plow, and I pulled it out with my 8N (among other things)! They are fine machines if you stay within what they are designed to do. His main problem is that he wants to do some farming with it and it's not really designed for the job. With the 45 you probably won't have problems. I also have a neighbor that USED to have a CK30 HST - he had similar problems so got ride of it. Everyone has thier own tastes! Good Luck! :trink39:

Sounds to me they didn't buy a large enough tractor and are asking a bit much from the one they did.............. :bonk:

I believe that would be a fair assumption Big Dog. Everything has it's limits to what it was designed for.

Pretty much - and he paid over $23,000 for it! BIL is not a very smart or frugal person, and is pretty lax at taking care of things. I give the poor thing 4-5 years, 6 max!

Nice pictures. I've been thinking about adding a tooth bar like that to my bucket. Your box blade looks similar to the setup on my King Kutter that I just bought.

Did anyone ever tell you that your Kioti looks like a Kubota? I'm just messing around.

I was all confused the first time I saw Kioti's at a dealership about 100 miles from me. I had to stop in and figure out what I was looking at. The sign was saying one thing but I was seeing another.

i too bought a new kioti tractor, mine is a DK55. i got the loader with it too. its a real horse, 55 horse power with a turbo. really heavy built too. will take some getting used to the shuttle shift trans. and all them 12 speeds forward and reverse, its got tilt steering too. it has a lot of standard features that other makes should have but don't, it even has a plug in for a trailor. we'll see what its like in 25 years or so, but i'd say it will still be going.

I too bought a DK45s and love it. I probably do not use it as much as I could but have found the bucket, pallet forks, finish mower and box have been useful. Love them pallet forks though :fing32:

I love my Kioti LB2614, but would love to have a bigger one.
It is built strong and is one tough little tractor.
I have had it 3 years and still happy with it.

Hi Mike,
I have the same tractor -- my second 45 hp Kioti. I'm glad you have a good dealer, because I did not. My DK45-S started popping out of gear at 1,000 hours. I don't have a lot of faith in the drive train. Dealer told me it was my fault because I was not pressing the clutch all the way in to shift. (Not the case -- been driving manual trans. vehicles for 44 years.) Getting him and Kioti to do the right thing was a real WAR, and left such a bad taste in my mouth that this will be my last Kioti.
