:Welcome: to MTF, bobodu. Did you build the tractor yourself?

Yep!!! (pat on back....}
There's no way I could justify spending any real money on a tractor to work two acres. Two acres does not a farm make...hence the name Farmnought.I guess she weighs in at around 1200lbs.Working on a 6' mower deck powered by a discarded 16 HP Briggs.
Total cost in this one so far is around $600.

As the Romans would say, "welcome to the forum!".
That tractor certainly has its charm! I think that it is rustically cute.

Many thanks,guys :fing32:
Finding the time is easy.....ignore the wife! :hide:
I recomend this ONLY if she is menopausal or later!! I have found this "stage in life" the perfect excuse to build the pole barn, thus giving me a refuge.Dad always told me..."If you can't beat em in a fair fight, don't be afraid to run and hide...beats gettin' your teeth knocked out!" Have also discovered that I like to have seven tractors between myself and Tami at times like these...
The whole Menopause Monster Hiding Place story is here..

And the tractor story is here...

Wanna encourage anyone who likes to build things(guess that's everyone reading this) to join the Machine Builders Network...lotta neat people and machiners there....that's also how I found this board :fing32:

bobodu,
Very nice. I like the tractor and the trailer! I like building things too, but have never done anything as complicated as a tractor. Just a few attachments and odds and ends. :hatsoff: Thanks for sharing your projects!

Bobodu, You mentioned that this one is your favorite until the next one. What will that be a dreadnought or a super dreadnought? ROF

Good one! Right now though the Farmall is undergoing a very slow facelift and some minor surgery. I get to make some time soon to get her done.

The truth is...the tack weld on the rear blade let loose (ain't got around to making an adjustment plate for angle yet),and she ran straight with the tractor. Now this, tends to give you a LITTLE more speed!!Popped the front end up too and since the left wheel wasn't in the muck.....
Take a gander where this Lawn Deere broke down..... ROF

Found that just down the road from me.I hollered to the guy..."If that was a RED tractor...you'd still be mowin' with it" :bannana:
You don't often see folks point up with that finger out here....
If it wern't for the head lights it would almost look like a self propelled mail box! ROF The important thing is that it does what it was built to do.
