My Yanmar 2210 signal light don't work .They did not work when I got it.Now I am working on them .When I hook them up the right one stayed on all the time .when I hook up the left one it will blow a fuse.I took the signal light switch out and put a ohms meter on it and it worked. now what I need to know dose the power go to the switch first or the flasher first. And it has a wire that comes from the fuse to the fender on the left that is hot all the the time .

welcome to the MTF , we are happy to have you with us .
I cant answer those questions but there will be answers for you.
I do think the wire to the switch will be hot first then the flasher to the lights. sounds like your ground wire is hot , that means a dead short. A possible ground problem.
A wireing diagram would help you alot.
But in the mean time :Welcome1:

Hi Gizmo,
Is there any possibility that the wire that is hot all the time is intended for the "work light" instead ? I know that they have a switch on the light to turn it off and on.

Hey Gizmo...Welcome to MTF
The switch is hot first.
Lamp Wires:
Working from the fender lamps forward you should have a green/yellow wire on the left that goes to the turn signal switch (LEFT) switch post #1. And a green/white wire to the turn signal switch (RIGHT) switch post #2.
Flasher Wires:
Neither lamp wires attach to the relay as the switch connects to the relay (not the lamp wires) with a solid green wire @ post "L". The green/black wire attaches from post "X" and goes directly to your fuse block (10 amp fuse).
The work lamp should be a red/black wire and NOT wired into the switch/flasher system but directly to the fuse block (15 amp). I'll try and attach a diagram that is nearly identical to your model.

The instrument lights are spliced into the g/y and g/w via soft male/female single wire plugs. I'm sure it's done this way so that you can remove and service the entire instrument panel without removing the complete wire harness.
Although I normally swear by the VO-Meter, this is a case where a simple 12V test light works much better.
I agree with DRBailey...it sure sounds like and exposed wire shorting out to ground. Often one of the wires under the fenders become brittle and frayed and can cause this. Both sides have single wire plug connectors under the fender....you can disconnect those wires and see if it blows a fuse. If it doesn't problem solved (after a quick repair), if it blows while disconnected then the short is further up between end wire, switch or fuse block.

Thank you all for your help. My signal work's now. Ok now can I cut the wire B that is Green / White .And spliced a wire to it and go to a toggle switch .Then come off the toggle switch and go to 1 that is green / Yellow and 2 that is Green / red . That way when I turn the toggle switch on it will by pass the turn signal switch .And make 1 & 2 hot .would that give me flashers on my tractor.

Started to read this thread and the first thing that came to mind was "Mark will see this and have the answers." I'm just getting slow in my old age.
Mark, even with this large monitor I'm looking at, your scanned image is a little too small to be able to read easily. Maybe Gizmo could benefit from a larger image.

Yeah Mickey it's fairly small on my monitor too. Sorry still struggling with Vista and I lost some of my "PicsResizer" features with this new software. My medium size picture is 840x730 and the upload limits are 620x280.
Gizmo, I believe you can run jumper wires from the flasher to your toggle switch and it will work...but you will lose your directional signal switch function.

If I have the toggle switch where I can cut it off will I still lose my directional signal switch function.

Aren't we creatures of habits? You are so right--every time I see a Yanmar question --I think of Mark, or Ford N stuff-here come's Ken or Dagwood...John Deere stuff is well-represented...Boy--that's crazy...

Gizmo, I'm sure there is a way to do it and in fact we did one for somebody a few years ago. The gentleman wanted what you want - to keep both functions (turn signal and flashers). He already drilled and installed a toggle switch but...the flashers worked and only one side of the directionals would flash. If I remember correctly we swapped out the 2 pole toggle for a 4 pole, wired before the t/s switch and kept everything in series.
I'm old...but I'm starting to remember: If you look at the back of the switch and it has 2 or 3 pole connectors it probably won't work. If you acquire a 4 connector switch it will interrupt the signal function in the 'ON' position and supply 12V to both signal lite wires. In the 'OFF' position it will return the signal wires to normal. .........(I think :))
We may need a second opinion from somebody who's a little better at wiring than me.
Mickey, Glenn, thanks for the confidence. I'm certainly not an expert just been around a few Yanmars for awhile.

I got it going and it's not that hard .

Thats great Gizmo...Looks like a 4 pole switch does the job. Nice, clean installation too.
