Like that old song..."Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends..."

It'll take a little while to get back to where we were. But any of you checking back here for info that was at the old forum, just ask and I'll get it to you.

Ditto sixchows on any requests for info that was posted on the old site.

Any chance of breaking out a seperate "Manuals" section for the Bolens stuff ?

You must be reading my mind! I just sent a PM to the admin asking to lose the troy-bilt as the FMC Bolens has a true cult following and combining it will inhibit it's growth. Remember when it was under the MTD banner at the old place? NOTHING! Got it moved and a new logo BAM! it took off! In the short time it was up compared to the rest of the forums it had almost caught up to them in hits and posts. If still going it would have passed even the most popular! I think it's really important to try and keep that same feel. It brought a lot of traffic before and I'm sure it will again!

I also mentioned a reference forum such as "The Library" it could be for all reference materials if not just bolens. It would need sections and need to be arranged alphabetically. Or at the very least either a sub forum within the bolens section to host only reference materials or even possibly an off-site webpage with the info only and a sticky here with a link to it.

A subsection in the Bolens section sounds great !!!

We can make this new site even more appealing to Bolens owners than
the original site was. I agree with what you say about FMC traffic,
when the TF went down, people were begging the Yahoo groups for info
help but nobody could come close to what we had put up.

“If we build it, they will come”

I saw a post on a yahoo site last week from a guy looking for the wisconsin TRA-10D/TR-10D manual I had at TF. He wanted to know where else he could find it as tractorforum was down. The ironic thing was he is the administrator for The New York Public Library!

Hey guys.

I agree that a subsection would be a good idea. The stickies worked well, but kinda made a cluttered area that I think may have confused some of the newer members.

I sure am glad I saved and printed everything you guys posted. That sure was a lot of work down the tubes there.

Hi Ken, good to see you again!

Yeah those stickys sure were confusing. No rhyme or reason, just ordered by date posted. Sometimes it was difficult to remember what was and what wasn't there.

Who would have ever thought that POOF! without any warning GONE! :banghead3

aguysmiley,

Thanks for your support for a manuals subsection.

We have everything we posted before and will be reposting it here.
The former effort didn't go down the tubes. If it brought one member like you
there, it was well worth it.

When are you gonna put one of those tube frames in that great shop of yours?

Man you guys are hard to find! >grin<

Yeah, a subsection for the manuals, attachments and such would be awesome, that way people don't have to root through pages of threads to get what they need.

As the Pheonix raised out of the ashes, so does the MyTractorForum. My depression has ended. Just in time for the Nor'Easter tonight. It's good to be home again.

Welcome ecsi635j!!!!

Well, when TF closed up, it took all the manuals with it. We are working on getting them all up agean, but sence a lot of them were only held on TF, they have to be rescaned in. May take a little bit.

Any manual you were looking for? If you tell what one you needed, maybe whoever had it, can jump it to the top of thepile.

Hello all,
I was Kramrush over at Tractor forum. I have finally found this site. I have added to my tube frame collection. More like branched out. I am the proud owner of a HT-20. My only attachment is a 42 inch snow thrower. I will be looking for a deck soon. I am hoping someone will post a manual for the blower. I broke the shear key and I need to see what a new one will look like. I look forward to some good "fire side chats" here.

Hi Mark

I know aegt has those blower manuals. He won't be back until after the 11th of April. But I'm sure he'd be glad to help you!

:Welcome: Mark glad you found us. Post some pictures of your HT-20.

Mark

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will post pictures of my HT20 when a clean her up a little and fix the exhaust. I got it knowing the muffler was shot. I am thinking of using a Stanley FO-2 muffler and a mandrel bent piece of pipe. They have them at Tractor supply and I believe they are a ford application. It is not a "straight through" or "cherry bomb" design. It has a piece in the pipe that doesn't allow for the that style. I am thinking (hoping) it will be quiet. I also have to update my fleet pictures. When the weather breaks, I will take a picture of all of them.

Let me know how your muffler installation works. I did something similar, but with a 17" straight-through resonator from a Ford tractor. It works, but is not as quiet as I wanted.

Found that I have a leak in my Eaton 12 Hydro at the control shaft. Is this something I can repair? I haven't seen anything about the control shaft in the manual I dl'd from the TF when it was up.

Mark,

Glad to hear you got yourself an HT-20. :fing02:
I was in Florida and just got back this afternoon. If you would post the model
number of the snowblower for the HT, I’ll be glad to post any manuals I have
for it.

Mark
04-11-2005, 08:12 PM
I wish I had the model number. It was painted over. It is a 42 inch single stage. Now I know what all the talk about "how great large frames are" was all about. It is quite a machine.
Thanks

Mark,

There were four 42in single stage snow casters made for large frame tractors.
They were the 18042, 18044, 180100 and 18103. My guess is you have the
18103. I have sent Admin the Operation Maintenance Manuals and Parts manuals
for the 18042, 18044 and 18100. But I could only give him the parts manual for
the 18103. Take a look at all of them and see which one looks like yours.
If I can get a copy of the 18103 OMM I’ll post it.

Mark

Thank you Sir! I am sure that I will find these manuals useful.
