Hello everyone, I just joined here just this week. Sorry for asking, but I was hoping you could show me any especially good posts that I should check out first, so I can get involved here? Thanks in advance, Mike Gladstone

Welcome aboard, Mike--throw a log on the fire/hang out for awhile..

What you can do is hit the little "active topics' button @ top of screen on left-then do-say last four days, if you have been away--then look over to the very right and the forum topic is there....
or if you are only looking for a specific thing--you can do "quick search", and type in whatever subject you are looking for...
It might be a little over-whelming @ first, but there are a lotta great folks here that can help you with just about anything....
Enjoy yourself!
(except they won't give me the winning lottery numbers..) :Disgus:

Mike,

Welcome to the forum! :Welcome1: If you fill out your profile we can probably answer your question a little better (i.e. where in the country you are and what kind of tractors, interests you have).

I've been coming here for almost 2 years, now... (just see my member number...) and I still hit Active Posts, first thing when I come here (unless I've got PMs, I'll go read them first).

Like others have said... fill us in, a bit, on your interests and we can help guide you.

If you're just looking for some general tractor interest stuff.... search for Wingnut's F-12 rebuild and his tractor tours, from last summer.

I'll see if I can find some of those threads and put links to them in here....

BTW... :Welcome1:

OK...
So, here's the beginning of Wingnut's "escapades" with his F-12. This is the teardown of the tractor... the "before", if you will
http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=19645

And here's the rebuild... step by step.

Wingnut's Lunch Time is another great read... His visits to Louis Miller, his friend and neighbor. Some GREAT pictures, great stories and even some audio clips in here.

Now... Don't go to thinking that Wingnut is the only one on here with anything good to say!!! These are just some of my favorites that stuck out in my mind...

Welcome to MTF.
In the white bar on the screen you will see Active Topics . If you click on that you can pick how many days of thread activity that you choose to look at. I usually just click on 1 day. Hope that helps.

:Welcome1: If you click on the big banner at the top of the page, it will give you a list of all the available forums. If your interests lie in big farm tractors, compact utilities, or lawn & garden tractors, you will see the lists broken down into brand names. If you have an interest in general use of such machines there is the "Barn", the CUT Hut, and the "Backyard Roundtable" for discussions. We also have special interest forums on gardening, boating, cars, tools, and more, so follow your interests, read away, ask questions, and don't be afraid to mention other tractor forums, or sites that you think we might find interesting. I at least think of this place as a giant living library of tractor info, staffed by some EXTREMELY knowledgable folks, and other folks that with special insights in their areas of expertise. In short, "It's ALL good." And don't forget to check out our sponsers' forum! Lots of neat stuff there too!

Mike, I'm an "Active Topics=3 Day Clicker"... As I stay fairly current and I don't miss much but I apologize just in case something slipped by to "4 Days"!:D

On thing I learned early, don't go just with your specific tractor or interest! Lot's of stuff to learn and enjoy on most all topics and brands!
