http://snapper.com/SnapperGT600.html

From the web site:
"A stunning combination of power and versatility, the GT600 subcompact garden tractor from Snapper touts a 27-hp diesel engine and four-wheel drive.

The Briggs & Stratton 27-hp Vanguard™ diesel is a workhorse of an engine that provides the power needed to tackle most any task. A three-cylinder, fuel-injected engine, the Vanguard diesel offers power and durable operation with higher torque, better fuel economy and extended maintenance intervals. A Tuff Torq K92 transmission provides plenty of hydraulic capacity for powering the tractor and large attachments like a front-end loader.

The GT600 features a 54” deep-profile mower with anti-scalp rollers for a precision cut without scalping. And its ½-inch-thick front frame and heavy cast-iron front axles allow it to tackle jobs other garden tractors just
cannot handle.

You know that Simplicity bought Snapper right?

Yes I know. The thing that got me is the fact that over the years Snapper has been known more for their RER and LT equipment. Over the last year or two, Snapper has been offering their selected option Conquest and Prestige comparable selections. This is a big step up. That's the reason for the post.

I have been impressed with the Simplicity GT's for a long time but we do not have a local dealer that actually stocks them. If Snapper is going to place them out for people to see, they should do well. They are Simplicity clones and are not cheap but seem to be good quality. Although it is out of my price range, the 600 series is one that will be handed down for generations.

These are also available as Massey Fergusons and as AGCOs, so there should be at least one of these dealers semi-local to just about everyone.
