Buying my John Deere 4600 was the best piece of equipment I have ever bought. How did I function without it? I have the 460 fel with a clam bucket, all the hydro plumbing that can be had for this machine, the model 48 hoe, and many many three point attatchments.
The machine itself is powerful, very nimble, and trouble free. Service is easy to perform and the machine is well thought out. Changing in and out of the backhoe only takes five minutes, no tools, and one guy can do it. Removing or mounting the loader takes even less time.
My machine has the three range gearbox with a full syncro four speed transmission and power reverser. I like it, would have got the creeper gear on a do over. The four cylander deisel has nice power and runs my stump grinder just fine. That is the one tool that seems to need the most power. The rops folds down and that does come in handy from time to time. With two light kits on it I can see quite well at night.
I have used this machine commercially and have around 1100 trouble free hours on it. I also use it on my farms, to move snow, as a loader, and around my sawmill. When push comes to shove I would buy another one just like it.

It wants your password. Must be a different way for you to provide the show without having to enter a password.

Where ?
Slip, what are you using to counterbalance that 1/2+ ton log? The front tires are really showing the load. You certainly work that little guy don't you?

Carl,
Most times I have the pulverizer hanging off the back of the tractor because it is compact and heavy. Besides it does a nice job of raking up the bark and sawdust around my mill. The one thing I will say for this tractor is it sure does work hard, sometimes I am amazed at what it will do. When I brought my metal lathe home the other day the 4600 picked it off the trailer with the forks, the ford 800 we used on the other end to load could barely pick up one end.

Surprising how much can be lifted just with loaded tires. I lift logs that size with my little 4310 all the time using logger forks. 1200lbs in tires and either a back blade or anther 1000 lbs in ballast box.

I do not have the tires loaded on my machine. I do so many concrete tear-outs that puncture wounds can be a problem. I findit easier to fix flats with the tires not loaded.
