Heres some pics of the three Simplicitys I've had over the last 23 years.
The original late 60's? Sovereign 3212. I bought this in 1982 and got lots of service out of it. Cleared a lot of my property with it and it had a snow blower attachment.

Heres my 1990 12.5 LTH that I got in 1994. I sold the Sovereign because it was getting beyond my mechanical abilities.

And of course, here’s the Conquest I just got a few weeks back. Nice to have a new machine. It has the 20 HP Vanguard V-twin and a 44” deck. I still have the 1990 12.5 LTH and another one identical to it that I picked up as a parts mower. Always nice to have a spare. LOL

Van, nice pics of some fine equipment, heard lots of good reports on the Conquest, so which one is gonna be taking over the snow removal duties ?. :)

Hi Jim.I'm not sure on that yet. I have a blade with my 1990 12.5 LTH. I can use the same blade with my Conquest, but I have to get a different mounting hitch. About $200. I do have an older JD 726 snowblower that I got because the older Simplicity slid too much on the incline at the end of my driveway. I'm sure the Conquest would not have that problem with the diff lock. Down the road I may get a snowblower for that. We'll see. And thanks. The Conquest is a nice machine.

kevin i snow throw with my prestige and gotta say.. it does great......
I do paths all around my yard and my driveway and it does real well... I would not be afraid of putting a thrower on your conquest at all...
BTW: great progression of years & machines....

Hi John. I guess I'm a Simplicity guy. LOL. I also have to make some paths around the yard. The old JD 726 has done a pretty good job, but a blower on the Conquest would certainly speed things up. I also do some of the neighbors drive ways when it snows. Do you need wheel weights and chains with your prestige? Heres a pic of the snowblower cutting a path back up from the woods in my backyard last winter. This was a fine powder snow, so it was throwing it pretty good that day.

Hi Juggler. I remember my wife shaking her head when I said I was buying the parts tractor. At least she smiled. You should have seen the wide eyed look I got when I told her how much the Conquest would cost. It took a couple minutes, but then she smiled and accepted the fact that I was getting it. What a gal.

you could have shown her how much a comparable JD would have costed... that would have helped ease the pain...ROF

They just dont understand....I learned once and tried to be nice. I never liked the way my voice squealed when I was tring to justisfy what I was buying to the Misses. Now I just show up with it, shout "Its nice eh? and walk inside the house.....no more squealing.... :bannana:
