Neil,

What are your impressions of the Kiotis' concerning build quality and value? How do they compare toward the (I'm assuming) more expensive CC's? I'm not in the market for one right now, but I notice there has been a lot of prospective Sub-CUT and CUT buyers asking questions lately. Have they been reliable from what you have seen?

Mow...let me put it this way.

We sold the DK35 and DK45 as Cub Cadets for 3 years. One warranty on an hour meter. Its electronic so the dash was replaced. Cub's on the sidelines in CUT for a while (thats another story) so we went tractor looking for another line to add. We kept coming back to Kioti for a variety of reasons.

The folks here are just looking for a tractor....believe me when you're looking at it as to what line you stake your reputation on as a dealer...you look very, very hard at the total package.

Kioti isn't sourced or branded from another manufacturer, they do their own US importation and their here to stay with a big presence in North Carolina.
When the numbers drop in CUTs there'll be some orphans out there.....and I doubt Kioti will be one of them.

Neil--I've noticed over-end of summer season, here, several small dealers have taken on the Kioti line........mostly small-used / and or trailer dealers..
Maybe will stop by and really 'ground-pound' one day.
tkas for the info...

Cub's on the sidelines in CUT for a while (thats another story)

Sounds like what my former Cub Dealer told me was the truth then....

At any rate, those Kioti's look fantastic, if we would have had a dealer in the area I certainly would have given one a test drive!

A little late in replying I know..

For me, I can't say enough how much I love my Kioti CK25 HST. The quality is great and the value was even better. My CK25 with loader and backhoe was $5000+ cheaper than the similar model from Kubota at 2 local dealers. Heck, the local Kubota sells the MUCH smaller lawn tractor Bk24 w/loader+backhoe for $2000 less than my CK25 w/loader+backhoe! The warranty is great too.. 4 years.

Power.. it's enough for my needs. I use a Harley rake and snow blower on it with no problem. Sometime I wish the backhoe had more power.. but I'm also use to using a JD 110's backhoe.

Heck.. I love it so much I started a Kioti website! :fing32:

Neil,

I've been looking at sub-compact tractors the size of the Kubota BX1850. Does Kioti have any plans to enter this market. I don't see anything that size on their wetsite.

CK 20 is the smallest currently. If you are getting a loader and backhoe, I'd suggest the Ck20. When I looked it was cheaper than the BX24 which still is at $16,500. But I'm in the Northeast.. our prices are usually more up here. It also depends on the dealers.

My 2 cents.

Thanks Rob, should have mentioned what I'm going to do with the tractor. I have a tractor with FEL, the sub-compact will be replacing a riding mower and only used to mow and blow snow. The CK20 does appear to be a good machine but doesn't come with a mower small enough for my needs, have many trees and largest mower I can use would be a 48". Looks like Kioti is getting serious, the warranty is impressive, that's one reason I'd be interested if they made a smaller model.

i purchased the new ck35 in shuttle drive and was very impressed with the power. but this unit does have a problem it starts like a pig when its cold anything below 40 it knocks and bellers black smoke. i had it back to the dealer he had it for 2 weeks and its no better. he said every thing tested ok and that it was because it was a 35 hp eng. i traded a ck30hst that started with ease all winter ,any ideas on how to make ck35 start better? im afraid it wont start at all this winter when it get down in the single temp range

My CK25 HST starts fine.. so far. I'll have the glow plugs heat two or 3 times when it's really cold. A little white smoke and then it's fine after a few seconds. Then I let it run for about 10 minutes to get warmed up.

I've read elsewhere about using in-line heaters on the engines with good results.
