We have 3997 members as of 5:30 PM 10/20/06

we want 4000!!! so you guest lurkers out there... Join!!!! its free & easy (well, not as easy as it used to be, thanks to all the damned Spammers out there)

but anyway... its fairly easy.. so JOIN!!!!

While our membership continue to climb, the forum activity isn't and the last several weeks appears to be declining some. This past week several times when I logged in I noted the number of posts in last 24hrs was under 60. Some of the threads were real old ones brought back to life by new members. A busy day would be considered 100 posts. Number of posts equal about 2% of membership. Hope this isn't along term trend.

Question, are we really that busy or are a lot of old members talked out?

I'd noticed that too... But then... I guess I fit the bill as one of the "old members" that's "talked out". And I don't know as it's really talked out (in my case), but I have been pretty busy... and with the number (and quality) of our membership, I don't post quite as many responses as before ('cause somebody's already offered what advice I would've) and I never have started very many threads...

I still like to come out here, usually several times a day... and respond where I've got something "useful" to say.

But... Now that you've mentioned it... I started a new project, last night (fits as a "honey-do") so... Maybe I'll start a new thread for that...

I think we have all gotten to the point once in a wile. You have good days, and bad days.

As for it being slower. Ya I noticed it also. Could be any number of reasons. Change of seasons, not much going on, lawn cutting/outside projects slowing down, and snow is not hear yet...

SOme times of the year things slow down, It will pick back up.
