B7200HST Speed Change Rod Replacement

I have a B7200HST-D Kubota tractor and the speed change rod (67061-43360) snapped in half. I bought a new rod and a workshop manual, but it's not obvious to me how replace it. It appears that a major disassembly of the tractor will be required to remove and replace this rod, which I am hoping is not the case. Can anyone tell me if I am just missing something obvious?
