:Welcome1: mowdak!
What part of the state are you from? You are only the third person from ND to join MTF! Welcome aboard!
I live in the Fargo area, and old_nodaker is from up by Page.
Be sure to vote in the state poll... please! we need to get our numbers up!
Vote here! (http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=6527)
You can find places in the "introductions" forum to tell us a little about yourself, and learn some about others too, if you are so inclined!
Hope to see more posts from you here! Looks like your off to a great start!

Greetings MB... pretty much dead center of the state, I'm up in Turtle Lake. And, yes... I'm sure we know somone in common! LMAO! Gotta love that about ND; makes no difference where you go in this world, somone you know has relatives there.
Many years back the local banker here in TL went to Hawaii for a Bankers' Convention, he and the wife were visiting with another couple from Florida; and mentioned they were from ND. To make a long story short the other couple were my Uncle and Aunt, from Merritt Island, FL. They're only half way around the world, happen to start chatting, my Uncle knows one person in ND, that being his brother-in-law, my dad, and mentions it, and not only are they talking the same town, Dad banked at the Bank of TL, only lives 1 door away from the bank, had coffee with the ND Banker every morning and they knew each other well, the whole ball of wax. There's just something about this state, I don't know what it is....
Voted in the poll! Should I go in search of more recruits??
Have already decided MTF definitely has a place on the G-Sources page (http://www.g-team.us/g-sources.htm#Resources). That should drive a little traffic, site's only 6 months old and last month we saw 17,000+ page requests! Once the guys find the goodies here, I'm sure we'll find a few more racers to join.

Thanks for voting! We are tied with Maine now, and there is some heavy hitters in Maine!
Search out all the recruits you want! The more the merrier! Use the link at the bottom of the home page... "Refer a Friend" and that will give you credit for the referral. Some day that could come in handy!
Thanks for linking us from your site. I will have to check it out soon!

I was looking at that and there just weren't real big numbers registered in any of the states. I think if we had an all out membership drive here in ND we could find enough tractor owners to sign up to run away with that, since everybody and their brother has a tractor up here. (Really folks, some of them have several each! In assorted shapes and sizes, but... all of 'em are green!!)
All kiddin aside, I do have a few friends that might be interested in the forum, will definitely blast them out an invitation MB. Thanks for pointing the invite link out will use that one rather than simple e-mail.

The trick, mowdak, is to get them to vote in the poll! We have almost 1000 members in only 9 months, but less than 150 have voted the poll. I am sure we have more out there that I am not aware of.
Sorry the thread has been hijacked by this... I didn't intend for that to happen. Maybe one of the supers want to split this thread, and move some if it to introductions?
I am glad your having fun here mowdak! I'll let you get the thread back on "track"!ROF

Well I'm invitin lawn mower racers for the most part, so I don't know if we'd call it hijacked yet MB... let's just call it a natural progression of discussion in review of topic thus far, and let it drift back on topic on it's own accord. (o;?

That's sorta what I've been trying to do Ingersoll! Have spent a great deal of time chasing links and looking at every site I could find on the topic on all three major Search Engines, so I've at least got a place for everyone to start looking. I don't know a whole lot about it myself, (yet...), but I'm learning rapidly and I've got lots of links stacked up!!
Now if I could just get MB and old_nodaker fired up about it, we could maybe generate a couple more racers for the ND circuit! (o;?

Anyone see the tractor racing on Speed channel last night? The modified tractors looked more like go-karts than tractors, but went plenty fast. The stock heat was almost funny after watching the modifieds run.. Pretty cool though.....
