Here she is, looks tough but works like a tank. Will have to take some time this fall/winter and do some painting. Took 5 gallons of solvent to get all the years of built up grung cleaned off her.

We have been very busy around the place clearing brush, triming trees and scraping scraps into a burn pile (actually 2 piles). Lift still is lazy with a load but we are getting by. BTW anyone have a spare cessna hyd pump #24140 OBAB? Or at the very least a good dealer who wants some business? My local Ford/New Holland dealer cringes when I walk in the door and I have only been there a couple of times!!

Well, I think it looks great! :thThumbsU

Can't say I've ever seen a mower deck and an FEL on at the same time though. Can you use the deck still?

Thats a pretty beefy looking machine for it's size frenchy, does'nt look that bad paint wise, but yea a nice new coat for her come winter time would be a nice finishing touch :fing32:

:thanku: for sharing !

Really enjoying the pics!!I've got one that I've got a barn sitting on top of!! ROF Please post some more pics if you get the chance. :fing32: Is the FEL a factory built or homemade?

Glad you all liked it, shes a work horse. Mowed the other day with her this way. Kinda a pain in the butt to mount the deck (especially when it's dark and you have never done it before....clean your minds) but mows good and you can use the bucket to protect to knock down the really big weeds.

I used to look at these when I was a kid at our (good) ford dealer in just this set-up. They even had a couple of backhoe attachments for them (little bitty 4 in bucket) so I would have to say the FEL is a factory piece.

Gotta start harassing the dealers around here today, gotta find me a hyd pump so I don't have to rebuild my old one. Coast to coast is local, right?

Have you tried http://www.surpluscenter.com/ for a new pump?

Ford had a lot of different attachments for these LGTs, see http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=727 for the catalog.

Never thought about using the FEL while mowing to knock down the big stuff. Another reason I need one of these for my Ford! :fing32:

Thanks Dean, the surplus center is just what I need. Morning finds me on the phone.

Found out that they used Johnson Workhorse loaders (same as the green ones....ack).

Big ole milk weeds and small trees are not match for the bucket, along with the stray corn stalk blown in from the neighbors field....munch, munch, cruch, crunch says her.

Hmm, how'd you find that out? Some guy named Dean in the Yahoo group? :sidelaugh
Here's a link to one that sold on eBay a while back:

I still can't believe the price it got, who says green paint is more expensive than blue? :fing32:

Didn't even think about that connection.......been focused on her problem....and yeah (yahoodle group). I think my wife is getting a little jealous of her. She just shakes her head at me and mumbles, well she always did that but it's gotten worse since this little blue baby found it's way to the house.

The one on the bay was very well listed and she looked oh so fine, except for that hole someone had the audacity to cut in her side.

Loader looks to be a Johnson Model 14.

Found this site.....loaders, backhoes oh my......a little time and the welder.....oh the excitement builds!!!

I don't think green is more expensive then blue. The New Holland folks sure don't give anything away.

That's for sure slipshod and around here they don't even want to mess with you on LGT stuff.

Gave $200 for her Gruv. She has already paid for herself many times over. I'll post some of what we have accomplished and what we are tackling next in the near future.

Bought a allis b110 20 years ago for $350 at a farm auction. Came with a deck, rototiller, single bottom plow, disc, springtooth, harrow and scraper blade. Repainted her when I was in college the threw a rod. Replaced the rod but she was a knocker till I parked her. Thinking of digging her out of the garage and making her run again.

Every now and again we (me and pops) fall into a deal to good to pass up....now if the lift wouldn't of been sick I would of considered it a killer deal but like I said, she has already paid for herself many times over. Great therapy cutting trees, pushing bruch and torching off the brush pile. Oh and....no burn permit needed here, rural. Nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile (one in each direction) away and they are all part of the farms around her. You should see their burn piles!

You can all stop crying now, I won't even tell you about the David Brown 887 I found the other day for around a grand (with a loader and bushhog).

I need more money, hobbies and good deals have about broke me!
