That is one of the best "cut away" boilers I have seen. We have one at Rollag, but it is cut in 1/2 lengthwise. I like the sides cut out of the barrel better. It gives a better perspective.
Classes were in session just this past weekend at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion, Rollag College of Steam Traction Engineering. A great time was had by all, especially me! We had the big Avery steamed up for the better part of 2 days. Had it on one of our sawmills for about 4 hours on Saturday, and cut about 1000 board feet of 1" lumber (various widths). We don't get in a big hurry sawing. Lots of breaks to adjust, oil, visit with our guests, etc. I will have to see if my wife got any pictures. I was too busy to take any!

The one show I went to had a few steam engines running, but I also did not get a chance for pictures. They had a steam winch, that had a boiler attached, and 5-6 small engines running tappen into it. Also a few other small engines, and eaven some toys.

Speaking of locomotives, Portland's famous steamer 4449 was on the move yesterday. Wife called me saying it just went by the house blowing the whistles. Unfortunaly can't see the tracks from mom's and didn't hear it come by. Would love to take a ride on that engine.

For those not familiar with this engine, it was the one used in 76 on the around the country Freedom Train tour during our bicentennial.
My town was the first and last stop on the trains tour while away from home base. Somewhere on the site is a pic or two I posted last yr of this engine when she went by the house.
