Hello all,
I recently purchased a 120 and don't know what year. Could anyone tell me where to look for id plate/numbers. Thank you for any help. Robert

First, :Welcome1:
Is your Ford an LGT model? They have the ID plate on the frame behind the left front wheel. The older 120's I think had the ID plate somewhere on the dash cowling.

I purchased it from a guy that said it was from the early 70's. It doesn't say lgt on it but I assume it is. I'm trying to get some pictures on it today.

:bannana: Nice looking Ford! That's a late 60's or very early 70's model. You can join the Jacobsen/Ford Yahoo discussion group for these tractors. There's a CD you can order from the owner that has all sorts of manuals for these, including an owner's manual for your model. :fing32:

Thanks for the input... found the ID plate. It has been painted over, I'm going to try to remove the paint. What is the difference between a 120 and a 120 lgt? Thank you Robert

The LGT series were heavier duty tube frame models that they started making in 1972. LGT stands for Lawn and Garden Tractor.
Those early ones like yours weren't exactly light duty though, Ford just wanted to differentiate between Lawn tractors and Garden tractors when they started building more models. More product lines, more choices, more options, more money for Ford. :fing32:
