I'm still looking at garden tractors and my endeavors took me to a Toro Dealer ship today. they have a 416xt floor model with a 48" deck on sale for $3399. That model on the Toro website list without a mower deck for over $3800. It has 2.5 hours on the meter and looked great. I talked to the salesman about a sleeve hitch and he wasn't sure about that model accepting one. I'm supposed to call him tomorrow at noon and he said he would have the answer to my question about the hitch. is this a good deal or what? :fing32:

Well, even though you can not drive it (lol) you'll look good sitting on it wishing you could drive it...
I have spares for just that reason. Could not bear to think I could only look at it and not drive it.
Great deal on that again. Good luck on your keys... I don't have any youngins runnin around, daughter is 20... so i dont have to watch out for little ones running off with it like I used to do when I was early in my tractor luvin days...
Later,
Rip
ps keep us posted, and if ya need spare keys quick... let us know lol

Well, I did drive it, I used the key from the safety reverse switch. But I lost the main key Monday night and realized it Tues. evening, it's not like me to lose a key, so I'm freakin! I would really like to get another factory key if anyone knows the cheapest and fastest way.
I went into this buy wanting a WH Classic but when I came across this I thought it was a good deal. My question is, how much better is the Classic series or maybe a 520H. I am impressed how sturdy and solid it feels and that it's like new isn't bad either. I never thought a 16HP engine would be strong enough for this hoss but it pulls hard. I got it this past Sat. and spent most the day taking it apart, mower deck, front pulley box, fenders and gas tank, just learning and cleaning it though it didn't need it. I changed the fuel filter, drained the tank, cleaned the pre-filter, charged the battery, and checked the spark plug and oil. There is a WH 520H(can't remember the yr model but it only has 41hrs) up the street at the huge Toro dealer that I'm dying for now. :eck21: Is this an addiction!...T

There's a reason why they call it a "Classic" - it basically has not changed in decades. Reason why? They are built like tanks and have all kinds of attachments. I'd go get that 520H and sell the 416xt- or you can be like the rest of us addicted WH folks and have a minimum of two tractors :)

:ditto:
The 520 Classic is/was the top of the line of the "new-age", I call them
No longer made---One was donated last June @ national Wheelhorse show in Penn. by Toro Co.--five seriel #'s away from end of production....
You should have seen the grown men.. :eck21: and :sad_02: :sad_02: :sad_02:

that 416 xt is a really goodmachine.i own the 419xt with the electric lift and i have used it 4 years now.i have the bull dozer blade with i use to push snow and dirt around.they consider this a yard tractor i guess which i put to the test year road and its done better then i expected. In maine you can get sine heavy snow and i just jump on the 419 xt and plow with ease.
