My brother dropped off a Kubota lawn tractor he got in a bank-repo deal---the PO used it for a lawn-care business one year....then left it on a trailer, and the bank had my brother pick up the truck, the trailer, and since the Kubota was on the trailer--everything came away from there---he gave them a couple hunded $$...but it won't run very well--old gas/sitting outside/ abuse----Well, he wants (me) to fix it up for him, so he can use it as his primary grass-cutter.....
Sure- I said..Add it to the four others sitting out by the garage......I'll get to it by 2009!!! ROF ....Guess who is looking out the kitchen window???(Nose turned up in disdain)...Adding to the collection?--My bride says?? Nope--going to fix this one (He's going to pay, and buy all the parts).. :fing32:
Anyway--Model T1670/44" deck--anyone had any dealings w/ one of this orange family??
Thanks for input....

I don't know anything about them but here's a link: Kubota T1670 (http://www.deenimplement.com/kubota_t-series.htm) Hit the Specifications link at bottom of the page for specs.
I would imagine the build quality is pretty decent, as I've always been impressed with Kubota's build and value. Just happen to be painted the wrong color. :D

At that deal, one could afford to have the dealer tweak it up! :fing32:

The IHC/Cub/Kubota dealer is about 10 miles from me---they are three-four weeks out on svc work now (Minimum)......This time of year, they like to work on the big Agri tractors.....

Things have really turned orange around here as of late.
I just bought the wife a T1400 and I'm gonna melt down her MTD for casting metal!! Man...there is no comparison!! Pretty impressed with that old Kubby.
Since it's so hard not to buy anything made by MTD or second/third/forth hand $100 JDs I thought I'd look into the Kubotas.I know more when the lake goes down, but I like it so far.And it looks sooo cute next to the Allis.... ROF

I don't know how I missed this when it was first posted.
I have a T1670 with the 40" deck.
If you have any questions, I'll try to answer.
I have pdf's of the following if you want them:
T1670 parts manual
40" deck parts manual
Kohler CV15 service manual (about 5.5Mb)

Macheim--need copies of ownerw/parts manual-especially partaing to thge hydri tranny...---I have the Kohler engine one--(darn, I thought I was down-loading the New York Times when I did that one!)
my bro has ordered them twice from the dealer--both times they came in wrong......He got new blades, belts, and a new lower plastic cowl, as the PO had burnt a big hole in it.... I fixed the seat frame where it had broken, too
Got that Kohler running pretty good-it had been sitting awhile, with old gas in it, and the oil looked like wet mud.......redid carb, all new filters, new syn oil, new plug, fixed some bad wiring connections, new battery...yes sir--running good (710 hrs on it)
Going to clean her up good this weekend-put some new plastic pieces on it, shine /Armorall it up for him--(Following Wild Bill's tips)My deal is --we just finished settling my mother's estate (just two of us--we didn't get along for years, but after she passed away, we had to talk, so we were co-admins/estate---but he did most of the leg work, paying medical bills, etc.
So he buys all parts, I'll do the labor for free (+ case of Corona) and he can take it home to his 3+ acres. :sidelaugh
Thanks for ur offer.....Tell me how u like yours--he's looking for feedback...

Did you get the manuals? I emailed them to you shortly after your last post.
I like mine alot. Operation is easy and the rear suspension works great. I also used it to tow around a 17cu ft cart fully loaded with dirt many times before I got a garden tractor and had zero issues.
I think you'll love it.
