Not here in NJ ... there are two stations within 5 miles of me who sell it .. I just bought 10 gallons yesterday for a back hoe I borrowed to dig out some stumps to prepare for my new garage/pole barn :bannana: :bannana:

Not so here. There are only 2 stations in my area that sell it at the pump. Both of them are 25 miles away from me.
**The min locally is 150 Gal.

If you don't have a station nearby and only need a few gallons, ask a friendly farmer closeby if he'll sell you a few gallons. Everything I have is gas, so I don't buy it, but the co-op in town sells it (3 miles) if I did need it.

If you only need 10 -15 gallons, I'd pay the tax for regular fuel instead of spending money and time driving around for off-road fuel. My wife mentions that she want's to buy her gas in NJ to save money, and I have to remind her that NJ is 25 miles away, so the nickle a gallon she will save will be spent many times over driving to get the gas.

:ditto: if you use that much it would be better to get a large drum and have it delivered.

i can get it close by but own nothing that runs on diesel.

I can go to the nearest truck stop not far away and if I pump it into a can, I don't have to pay state tax which is about $.20-25/gal. Not worth the hassle to find a location where I can purchase without Fed tax for the 10-20/gal I use a yr.

I must agree with you there Joe ... not worth driving to save a few cents.. one good thing for me .. the station where I always get gas $2.76 for regular this am ... has the off road fuel too ... it is not more then 1/2 mile from me and is open 24 hrs a day .. they NEVER close and they are always the cheapest around for 10 miles or more

There is a pump about 20ft from the one the one I get gasoline from. They have high octane gasoline for off road use too.

I`m lucky , I can drive either tractor a few blocks and fill them or stop by through the day and jug it home.

Some 3 miles from me, have not needed any lately, however. Why?
