Nice dude. REAL nice!!! :fing02:

HH you can't see the steam because it is warm outside when the pics were taken. If it were a crisp February day you would see plumes of smoke (steam)...

why does the top wheel and belt change from side to side ? is that a reverse mode or something like that ?
I was beginning to think that you took some of the pics in a mirror

LOL!!!!!

Wonder if anyone would catch that. I didn't till after I posted them. Seems a little mixup in the old resizer program. :D :D

And you see a LITTLE steam in a few pic, and it was puffing some, it just did not realy copy over to the picture.

Its a fun toy though. I need to get a drive belt for it.[using a rubberband now] and the wisle stopped working, so I have to take a look at it. Probably just a flake of rust, or dirt or something.

Neat looking little machine Paul :fing32: , thanks for sharing the pics, never seen one like that before. I've seen some of Splicers stuff and always enjoyed the small scale train's, it's nice to have a hobby you can see actually work like you guys do :thanku:

Neat little toy Paul!

I kept pestering my dad to get me a steam toy when I was a kid everytime we went to the hardware store that had them on display. But he bought a Lionel train set for me instead. So I did not complain too much. :trink40:

I will soon have a nice G scale Accucraft Edrig four coupled live steam train, comes as a butane burner, but a new coal fired boiler is on order from a builder in the UK for delivery in late summer. This pic is of a buddies Edrig that has some custom detailing done, mine will be a bit plainer till I get time to work on it. She can run on both 45mm track or 32mm track, 32 being the correct gauge for 2' gauge modeling, the common gauge for UK narrow gauge modeling. Cheers Mike

Yepper, the coal boiler is bolt on kit, the boiler and all hardware will be fully machined and soldered together. I will be taking plenty of pics when I start the conversion later this summer. My locomotive should be here today when I get home from work. Cheers Mike

Cool steam engine you have there :fing32: I would quess that it is built by mamond. I have one much like yours only mine is a steam roller. I got mine around 1966 or so and still have it. I used to use it to power things that I built with my erector set.

Those little steam tractors are neat, I used to have the willisco version, its a bit nicer as the cylinder has proper valve motion instead of being an oscilating one. They are still made and can be purchased online from yesteryear toys if my memory serves me right. Both Mamod and Willisco are still in business and make the steam traction engine, roller and even trains. Cheers Mike
