Hey guys, I just purchased a Nh Ford 1715. I'm trying to locate a service manual for it, but the only manuals I can find are about the 1710 and 1720 tractors. One of these is about 500 pagss, but only makes reference to the 1715 on the last 30 pages. Why can i not find info just on the 1715 tractor? This tractor is 4 wheel drive and works great, although.. it will soon need a clutch. But, I can find very little info on this tractor? Does it have a bad name or something?? What is the difference between a 1710, a 1715, and a 1720? i'm new to tractors, and would appreciate any and all help! Thanks guys!

Hey mach2race,
If you can wait until tomorrow I can give you the low down between the tractors. I have learned not to put it on here with out looking in the manuals to make sure I am correct.
will post tomorrow sometime.

Your 1715 (http://www.tractordata.com/td/td588.html) was manufactured between 1992 and 1997. It is badged New Holland but still has the Ford name. It was right at the time that New Holland purchased the Ford line.

The 1720 (http://www.tractordata.com/td/td589.html) was manufactured between 1987 and 2000. It is similar to the 1715 but has a few more whistles and bells. It is badged all New Holland with the New Holland name.

The 1710 (http://www.tractordata.com/td/td253.html) was manufactured between 1983 and 1986. It's all Ford and was the predecessor to yours.

Each of these tractors boast a 3 cylinder Shibaura diesel having approx 27 HP/23 HP Drawbar. The only drawback is they do not have a live PTO which makes mowing duties at time challenging.

I have a 1715 too. It's a lot of tractor for its size.

Good job Agree,
As to the Service Manual question, the 1320, 1520, 1620, 1715, 1720, Service Manual come as set, including the 1715 Supplement.the NH part #40132030.
I checked for an IT manual, but nothing listed the 1715.
Hope this helps.

Reminds me of when I was a kid growing up in Magnolia, TX. We had a brand new Ford 1710 4x4. We used the heck out of that thing, it was an amazing little tractor. Had a firewood business, we pretty much used it like a skidder, ran a home made vertical log splitter that attached to the 3 point as well. Of course we ran a brush hog, box blade, auger, and disk on it too. I don't remember ever having any problems with that tractor, of course I used it for transportation and 4 wheelin', lol. Brings back good memories.

If anyone has a pic of one, I'd love to see it.

I have a Ford 1710. I really like the tractor, but I am having recent trouble with the PTO. The Clutch will not disengage it. The clutch can be all the way down and the pto will still turn. Also, it grinds a little bit when engaging the pto, even with the clutch all the way in. Any information on how to diagnose and fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
