I was out surveying a 25 acre parcel at work last week and it was heavily wooded. I stumbled upon a John Deere 2 bottom plow pull type. :omg: :bannana: So I went to the neighbor whose land it was on and it was covered in vines and weeds. It turns out to be a funeral home and the lady who was in charge answered the door and I asked if she was aware of it and she said like a plow you put on a truck to plow snow and I said no like one you pull behind a tractor to plow a field. She had no idea it was even there so I asked if she would mind if it disappeared and she said no take it. :bannana: So I loaded up my dad and his 18 h.p. Kubota 4x4 with front loader and off we went. I cut a path through all the brush and we jacked it up and locked it down and off we went through the woods. Loaded it up and brought it home. So now I can't decide to sell it or keep it and use it with my 8n since my dad has a tiller for his kubota. :trink39: I want to add that everything is on the plow even the hyd. cylinder but I had it off when I took the picture. So look it over and tell me what you think I should do. :trink39: :thanku:

If you have a use for it keep it as deals like that don't come around often. Looks like you made quite a find!! :fing32:

I have six acres and was looking at putting in a pumpkin patch so I was thinking it would work for that but then I need to stumble upon a set of disc maybe I'll go back to the same woods and look a little harder. The real shocker is that my wife who normally sees dollar signs is thinking I should paint it up and keep it. I was glad I was sitting down when she said that. but if I paint it I think I'll go with ford red and grey just to poke fun at the JD guys in our geezer club who always give me so much grief about my little ford even though they all have said if I want to sell my little 8n just give them a call.

Very nice!!!! I would keep it. The gods of free stuff dont take kindly of selling stuff to make a profit. Keep it and use it!!!

I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. If you want a lawn ornament then paint it that color that will get the John Deere boys a talkin, if you want it as a investment then clean it up paint it the correct color and hold onto it a few years.
I have it's bigger brother (3 bottom) although I didn't get it free ($50.00)

I'm planning on restoring it one day and take it to tractor shows behind my old John Deere or one of dad's, until that time arrives it is a lawn ornament behind one of my wife rock/flower gardens.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it and if you decide to sell it, offer it first to a JD collector, it may be just what they are looking for to take to a show behind their old pride and joy....my .02
