Had antique tractor pull today. I tried out the Mccormick W-4 I bought last fall. Tractor run and sounded good. Was a power track for sure, pulled the W-4 in the 4500lb and 5000lb class. Powered out both time. Will try posting some picture.

Jody,
Only picture that was taken. I am sure I can get more later. Lot of the H's and M's had farm hands and loaders in them in this area so it wasn't unusual to see a H with a wide front.

Mow,
will find out the year for you. I think it's a early or mid 30's tractor. I will get more info on the tractor also.

Brief history on the WK-40. Produced from 35-39.When first built they were a WA-40 (All fuel I think), WK-40 (Keresine), W-40 (gas), then they come out witha WD-40. The WA, WK, amd W were a 6 cylinder engine. IH first 6 cylinder engine. The WD-40 was however a 4 cylinder diesel engine. The W-40 series was replaced by the Mccormick W-9 and WD-9 in 1940. The WK-40 did have a little brother known as the W-30 which was a 4 cylinder tractor.

Thanks for the complement Bernie. I have a little Case S that I hope to pull next time. Was going to pull last time but it developed a gas leak on the carb. Have another carb soaking in carb cleaner now. Will be interesting this year as I hope to pull a few different ones each time. Watch the Case forum on big tractors I plan on posting some planting pictures later on.
