members, i have a 2002 statesman garden tractor mod.670 - 25 horse, hydrostatic drive. my question is who makes it (mtd)! and more importantly
when the trans gets hot it groans and quits pulling. the hotter it gets the worse it gets. when cold it is close to normal. is this fluid or belt! belt was checked last year and they said it was ok. ihave to cut some hills.
synthetic fluids or oil ok. i don't know help--- :thanku:

Hello and :Welcome1: Rhittman, sorry I don't have answers for ya, wanted to say howdy though :). Your tranny should be fluid, sounds as if it is low or wearing out, hopefully one of the guys will come along soon that is familiar with MTD's.
