hi. Well the thing isn't running rite now an the main shaft is pulled out of the trans. with a bad bearing so we got to get enough info to get it back together an tuned up to run. with 55 tractors to fix up we don't want to buy 55 manuals, does any one make a tractor bible for all makes? I also found a pierse-arrow tractor but I can't find so much as a picture of one. it is sittin' out in a strip mine with a bunch of old fords an chevys from the 20's an 30's. thank you for any help an if you need anything let me know.

i'll have to check my pile of manuals see if i have one for a 600 case. have you looked into i&t manuals one often covers many different models and as far as manuals go they aren't priced to badly
just finished looking through the last of my manuals haven't got anything on the 600 sorry. maybe try a smaller dealership that still works on older tractors that wouls let you copy the info you need

If you have the 600 with the 6 cylinder 377 it should be a Model 610. They were built in 1957 only. Production was limited to 350. The drive train and most everything should be the same as a 600 diesel. The 600 was replaced by the Case 900 and then the Case 900 was replaced by the 900B which was made in 58 and 59.The biggest change was the sheet metal and injector pump and RPM settings. Also some 500 parts will also work. Might check with mikes600, he has done work on both. I do have parts manuals for both.

Bear,
The 57 600 is like the Case 500 which replaced the LA. LA and 500 had 4 speed trany VS the 600 was a 6 speed. The 600b was made in 58 and 59, they had the bug eyed look and were a 4 cylinder tractor, totally different tractor.

so the guy putting the model numbers on the front of the case manual doesn't know what he's talking about. i've noticed it with some mm and ih manuals but i don't know enough about cases to have caught that one thanks for the info.
