Hi

I just aquired a 1982 Jacobsen Homelite UT 34003 GT 14 H. This was listed on craigslist for 70 dollars in non running condition. I went out sunday before last and got it for 50 bucks. Its has kohler 14 hp motor and is all hydro drive. The first things I looked at were ignition, the po had put an on off switch in place of the keyed ignition. Also the coil and condensor were gone. I bough a new ignition switch after crossing over the part at new holland, also got a coil and condesor locally. Once I rewired the igntion and all the safety interlocks, I found I needed to degum the carb, and put a new fuel pump on it. After these minor issues it came to life. I pulled the leaf sweeper a good junk of the day on saturday, and sunday and although it does have a little bit of a knock to it its good for now. This beauty was purchased as my ingersol is down getting the engine rebuilt. I needed something to pull the leaf sweeper, and this something was a heck of deal, and a beast on top of that. I also beleive I may try to rebuild this engine over the winter months, or after I get the ingersoll going again.

A few things it will still need Mower deck parts al three spindles are locked up as is the idler pulley, are these decks also compatible with FORD LGT 145? If so what would be the year code I would look at? Also would like some new headlight lenses that are not cracked.

Atached are the pictures of the new to me jake and my youngest pretending to drive. :fing32:

50 bucks!!! I dont know how you guys scrounge this stuff up so cheap. Scan craigslist around here and you cant find a tractor, running or otherwise for less than 200. Your's seems to even have the hydraulic lift for the deck (mine's the old grab handle). I paid 300 for mine 2 years ago. It didnt need anything at all to mow with except a tune up though. Nice find.
