I am thinking of buying a BX2537 rotary brush for my BX1500. I am curious. Their website claims it can do dethatching and spring cleanup. Has anyone used one for cleanup and dethatching? Seems like it would work great.

I have one for my JD 445. The JD dealer gave it to me when I bought the tractor because it was to rough looking to try to sell. It does work well for the dethatching/spring cleanup (getting rocks from the snowblower off the grass.) I suspect it would work even better with new brushes as these are getting pretty short. They also work well for small amounts of snow. The reluctance I have about recomending one is the actual amount of useage the average person would use it verses the cost of the new ones. JD dealer said that used ones usually go pretty cheap for some reason, maybe its true for the Kabota also.

old nodaker covered it pretty well...I bet it would be great for snow removal too. Sounds like the right tool for getting crap out of the grass.

Thats what I'm thinking. My Kubota dealer said they run around 1800 brand new. I can get one delivered to my place for under $900. I think it would be great to pick up matted down leaves, thatch, twigs, rocks and sand off of the grass. I also have a crap load of shag back hickory trees that shed their nuts in august through november. It would make the hours of cleanup I do on those childs play.
