Ed,

Could you be more specific about where you are seeing them? We know about the problem with the Active Threads window, but are there other places you are seeing them? Details, please.

Thanks,

Greg

jody was getting them..

he was using this for the web page:

http://72.29.68.123/~mytract/

he changed it to www.mytractorforum.com (http://www.mytractorforum.com) and they were gone.

:ditto: to what Jody said...but why all of a sudden???

im doing some file stuff behind the scenes.. maybe it messed something up...

i think in doing what i did.. it rebuilt paths to the icon file links and they were rebuilt using the www.mytractorforum.com (http://www.mytractorforum.com)

not the http://72.29.68.123/~mytract/

so if anyone has an issue switch to the www.mytractorforum.com (http://www.mytractorforum.com)

dont use the http://72.29.68.123/~mytract/ (http://72.29.68.123/~mytract/) address...

sorry for the mixup...

I don't about that but she sure enjoy's sending e-mails on the forum. Did you have to make that trip, and she ask me if I had spoken to you about your mom? I hope everything is better.

Guys -

The wife called me to dinner so I had to eat. I don't care if the sun don't shine and the cows don't come home, I don't miss my dinner!!!

It was just as Jody posted. All red x's all over.

I have always used - mytractorforum - to come up on the site.

Anyway, I deleted all reference to - mytractorforum - from my computer (deleted cookie, deleted from favorites, every thing). Then I reentered - mytractorforum - and everything is ok.

PLEASE don't worry about explaining what happened. Every thing is ok now and that's all I need to know. Maybe one of these days I'll get it.

Thanks,
ED

Well if those red "x's" are in the 781A's that means the aircraft is grounded and bad broke..... (don't you justs love a smart a$$ ) ........oh, you mean on the website.....it usually means the image that is embedded in the post or HTML is not displayed for some reason or other, such as it has an improper link, the website timed out before everything was loaded, which is usually a result of a slow connection and lots of other computer related stuff I do not comprehend.

I had the red x's yesterday, now I'm having trouble accessing posts. Especially in the L&G tractor section. I'm stumped...

911,

What specific problems are you having?

Greg

The newest post in the Craftsman section won't come up at all. I've cleared my cookies and all of that and it still won't come up, but shows something like 7 replies to it. I can't even view it.

Greg
05-13-2005, 11:14 AM
I'm still a bit confused. What do you mean by "won't come up"? Can you be more specific as to what steps you are taking and what the result is? What OS/Browser are you running?

Thanks,

Greg

I'm clicking on the thread "Picked Up the Craftsman" and the page won't come up. It says the name has been changed, or the page is temporarily unavailable. I'm using WinXP and IE.

Greg

It says the name has been changed, or the page is temporarily unavailable.

Are those the exact words in an error message window? I'm going to have to get with SJ on this to see why/when that message comes up...

Greg

911radioman

Greg, it comes up as a "page not found" type of window. It doesn't come up as a seperate error box. It says the page has either been removed, has been renamed or is otherwise unavailable. This is actually the only thread that is doing this.

It seems to just be this thread. Also, I tried getting into this thread using FireFox, and it is doing the same thing.
