Here's a few shots from the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association show last September.
Mark (mbkerk) Probably a dumb question here, but are the small steamers I saw scaled down replica's?

Most of them are... they were never production models. Some models are better than others. There Reeves caught my eye. I run a 32 Reeves at the New Rockford, ND show. It looks a lot like the model you posted.
Model building is really an art. David F. from Watertown, SD built a absolutely perfect 110 Case. I'll see if I can find some pictures of it.
BTW... That looks like a nice show!

Found a picture, but not a very good one.

David, the man who built this engine... is in the gentleman in the middle in the background. He did an outstanding job! It is a fully functional engine.
BTW... in the Avery thread power steering was mentioned. This picture shows how the power steering worked on the 110 Case.
This engine will be at Rollag this Fall for the Case Expo.

Thanks for the pictures guys! :fing32:
I'd love to have one of those miniature steamers to ride around in the yard.
I'm sure my city neighbors would love the smell of coal and blast of a steam whistle on a hot summer day. All the more fun for me! ROF

I know I'm bumping an old thread to the top, but sorry fellas, I just got here... :hide:
Hey, that's a Reeves in that picture! Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought they were kind of rare... My father-in-law was a licensed steam engineer and sold his Reeves cross-compound about 20 years ago in Minnesota. I've been kind of looking for pictures of it ever since, since it was in perfect running condition, all certified, and such. They'd used it to run their sawmill, do threshing, and generally all the work you'd use a big tractor to do on a farm. He inherited it, and stored it in serviceable condition. To him, it wasn't 'just a steam engine,' but it was "The Reeves."
Okay, this is a really, REALLY long shot, but maybe somebody around here has seen it...?
There are a lot of folks in our family who would love to see good pix of "The Reeves" (well, me especially) and all his daughters got to ride on it, behind it, and drive it. :thanku:

You know Steamguy... I have run this engine at the New Rockford show for the last 5 years. It came out of Oklahoma. What size Reeves did your FIL have?
I bet the owner of this engine knows what happened to it. I will see him this weekend in New Rockford, ND and will ask him about it.
I will be on the Reeves this weekend! Last steam show of the season!

I walked to Mark (Reeves owner) this last weekend, and he had no idea which engine I was talking about. It might help if I knew which engine (size), where in Minnesota it was, and when it was sold. Then I might be able to find out where it is now.
New Rockford was great this year... More to follow in another thread soon!

The only thing I really know for sure about it is that it was "about 20 HP", he started running it as soon as he was old enough (he was born in 1899); it was in Day, Minnesota (REALLY tiny town; closest thing is Braham), and the canopy was gone completely from it being used out in all weathers all the time. Everything else would be pure speculation. I know that's not a lot of help. I'll look around and see if I can find any pix; they won't be great, but they'll be pix...
My Father-in-law was a great guy, but he's been gone for about 16 years now.
