Well I just tried to make my post after my required "first post" but I seem to still be locked out of that forum section.

Takes a little while after your first post to finish the validation process. Sometimes up to a hour.

Unsure of the year due to the fact I cannot find a serial #. Father-in-law acquired what looks to be a MF 50 B Backhoe.

While trenching with it one day he told me that it suddenly quit moving forward but would still move in reverse. After about 5 or so minutes it stopped moving in reverse as well. This is an "instant reverse" tranny (hydrostatic). I know nothing about it except that all fluid levels are full. It makes no strange noises and shifting into gears seems to feel normal but when the forward pedal or reverse pedal are pressed down the only thing that happens is the idle speed goes up appropriately.

I'm at a loss I have no idea what's going on with this thing and I need to move it as it is sitting on the side of my driveway and it is in the way.

Anyone that can help me I would appreciate it very much.
