Howdy guys and gals, looking into purchase a Case DX 33 Hydro and need to get some input on the tractor overall. I am looking for something to do yard installations, move dirt, spread gravel, and plow snow. Will be purchasing with a bucket and HD box scraper and plan on adding a back hoe in the future. Need something small enough to get into back yards, but yet big enough and power enough to tackle the larger jobs.
So IYO will this machine fit the bill and for those of you that have them, are you happy with them and would you buy another?
Any information is greatly appreciated...thanks! :hatsoff:

The DX 33 is the same as the NH TC33 which is being replaced this year with a TC34 that has a 35hp rating. The maneuverability and visibility is very good on these tractors.

Mark, is it still going to be the same size frame...just a increase in HP??
Any chance that it is going to be turbo??

Any idea if they are going to redesign / change the current pedal setup for the hydro? I can't stand the current design. Wish they would use the two pedal like on the 35 and up

I don't remember all the details but it seems like that was going to change to match the rest of the TC lineup. I like the rocker pedal better myself.

Hey Mark, I stopped by the Case IH product show here in Phoenix, and you are right...they are replacing the DX33 with a DX34. From the specs I saw, it will be a 35hp engine. The guy was not sure if it was the same one that is in the DX 35 or not. No one could also confirm that they are going to change the hydro from the rocker pedal to the two pedals. Guess I will just have to wait and see.

I didn,t pay enough attension when they were talking about it but I,m quite sure they said the pedal will change.

Mark, do you know what engine they are going to put in the DX34?? Will it be a revised 33 or the same that is in the DX35?
My salesman is checking for me, but always like a second opinion.
Cannot wait for this thing to come in!

It will be the same engine used in the DX35. I checked both NH and CaseIH websites and neither have been updated to include the new models. :sad_02:

That isnt suprising, Case IH's website plain sucks!
They need to be looking at how Deere runs things or there wont be any Case IH in just a few short years. :fing20:

I know the webiste sucks...most of them do...and I am looking at buying a tractor, not their website.
What is your opinion of the Case brand of tractors??

Personally I think putting the Farmall name on those little toys is a disgrace, and I have only ran one once, it seemed alright but I dont have much to compare it to.
Most of my experience comes with the 71,72,8900 series Magnum tractors, which are some of the finest machines I've had the pleasure to run.
Do you have a local dealer that seems pretty stable? Dealer support is worth alot more to me than paint color, even though I do love IH equipment.

The "local" dealers in town are worthless IMO...not a market for them here. I have been woring with a dealer down south that sell and services the ag market. One of the fist IH dealers in the area. Have been very please with them so far.
I know what you mean about sevice...I have a new diesel truck that has been nothing but problems and the service from the dealerships has been horrible. Just makes it that much worse.
Most of the service and repairs I can and will do myself. I just want to gather as much information as I can about the history of these and other machines.
Do you have a recomendation for a CUT from your experience?

The compact CaseIH is the New Holland tractor painted red. They are good tractors and have some features the other brands don't, however Kubota is the best selling tractor under 100 hp. In the north east they carry 46% market share.

We haven't recieved any of the new TC34s yet but according to NH web site they still have the two range hydro and the rocker pedal so I'm sure the DX34 will be the same. We haven't even recieved literature on the new models yet. If you go to Unionfarmeqiup.com or the link from this forum you can click on New Holland then click on compacts and you can see the TC34. I don't know if CaseIH has any info on the DX34.

CaseIH.com has the DX34 grouped with the 35,40,and 45 DX's and makes the features of the hydro trans all sound the same. From what I have gathered, the new 34 uses the same engine and two speed trans as the 35. Unlike the ole 33 that had a smaller engine and single three speed hydro.
You think with a new product coming out like this, they would really point out the details and make it shine.

If I can get any more info at work I will pass it along. I don't know why they aren't mor anxious to get the info out on these new models or for that matter to get the new models to the dealers.

Got to work this morning and they were unloading a new TC34. Three range hydro, foot rocker. Looks the same as the TC33.
