How much oil pressure on the 3 cyl. diesel Kubota engines? I hate those little lights. Mine blinks sometimes at slow engine speed. Trying to find my oil press. guage to find out. Thanks. MOUNT IDA

According to the BX23 WSM, the oil pressure in the D905-E-BX 3 cyl diesel is 7 PSI at idle and anywhere between 38 to 64 PSI at rated speed.

Now thats a pretty big swing! :eek:

There is another field in the spec called "Allowable limit" at rated speed which is listed at 27psi.

Putting a gauge on it is the right thing to do. I've seen a few bad sending units on auto engines cause the the oil pressure lamp to come on when the pressure tested good.

funny my L185 did the same thing. i did put a gauge on it to find out the true pressure. the sender for the lamp was defective, pressure was fine.
