I guess an oil pressure gauge is an "accessory" so I'll ask here. Does anyone know of a good supplier of gauges and hookup stuff for the likes of oil pressure and temperature, ammeters, etc.? I found a spot on the GX I think I can fit a small oil pressure gauge, surface mount in a completely enclosed case just under the headlight switch. I MUST have gauges! I grew up with the little wiggley needles and I just hate "idiot lights"! :)>

I used to have a link to a site that had all kinds of miniature gauges. I have looked and looked but have yet to find it, and I like you want to add some mini gauges on my GX335, mainly oil pressure and amp meter.....There was also a neat tach gauge that was digital and it had a built in hour meter and service scheduler...that all you had to do to change functions was press a button and page through the different readouts, and it would default to the tach for normal operations. I have not given up yet and still looking.....The way my luck goes is it was probably on the hard disk that crashed on my other computer in the shop.

This it Chip?

It is the company that made the hour meter I bought at Sears for my LT150.

Thanks guys! I checked around the net and ordered an old fashioned paper catalog delivered right to my door just like the old days! I can't remember what outfit it was though. Now that I have taken a good look at the "dashboard" on the GX I see that another approach will be needed. I'll smash my knee right into the gauge if I surface mount it under the headlight switch. Now I'm looking at a three gauge array centered at the bottom of the dash where it meets the floor. Should be out of the way if the gauges aren't too deep...

Ahhh, the dancing needles, I can see them now softly illuminated while blowing snow at night with my newly installed JD halogen headlight upgrade kit. (Ten John Deere boxtops and $44 to cover shipping and handling.) Much better light though!

Look at some of the HP auto catalogs also. Lots of stuff out there. Autometer makes some REAL nice stuff. Also look to the boat places. Loot of stuff there also. I myself am adding aftermarket guages to my 8N. My amp guage was bad anyway, and I dug up an old 3 guage set from a past car, and will be mounting the amp, and oil PSI guage in there normal spots, and mount the temp guage lower on the dash.

Received my genuine paper catalog from JEG'S high performance auto parts today and it's chock full of gauges in different sizes, styles and operating types. Has to be a three gauge array in there that will fit the GX! Now I have to figure out electric or mechanical oil pressure. I found the place for the sender and installing that will be a cinch.

They also have some neat racing suits and I was thinking a JD green one might make a nice protective "mowing suit"... Maybe a nice full face helmet to ward off the falling acorns... Catalogs, the mind boggles!

You could also add a water chiller to connect to the racing suite and helmet on hot days. Then a water heater for the cold days.

Man now you got me thinkin'! :fing32:
