When we had to get rid of a lot of stuff, we sold the 99 to a guy 14 miles from here and I think he used it for a while to pull his manure wagon when the ground was muddy,as the 99 had rice tread tires on it and was un-stickable!! Think he traded it on something else!! thanks ; sonny

Sonny,
What did you think of the 99 as compared to the JD's on the farm? My dad had an old Ollie 70 back on the homestead in Ohio. He always claimed that he could outpull the neighbor's JD 77 Diesel, but would use twice the fuel in a day's work. I've been interested in restoring a Super 99. They're pretty hard to find.
Thanks,
Jim

I liked the 99 because it made so much noise and smoke!!! Wasn't bad on fuel, and power for it's size was awesome. Had extra large injectors in it, too.! We were looking for a J.D model R when we came upon this 99, so dad traded a 34 D J.D. for it.thanks; sonny

Nice vintage photos Sonny, I have a box of old photos of my wife's late grandfather working on his cranberry bogs with a old Cat dozer from the 40 or 50's. I miss the guy alot we had a bunch in common. Really nice Oliver by the way , one of my favorite brands. Take care...
