I have some manuals that I think would be of use to others in the forum. My question is - If I am posting a thread and open the folder the PDF Manuals are in, can I just select the PDF icon for the manual and attach it to the thread. By doing this, could someone then save the PDF Icon and be able to open the manual.
I can attach a picture to a thread. How would I attach the PDF Icon?

Hey Buddy,
If its already a pdf document all you need to do is upload it from your machine (just attach file -look at the manage attachments button) when you are typing a reply
Hope that helps

Hey Duc! How's things?
I think if you attach a file you're using bandwidth on this site, right? I think admin was trying to keep costs down initially by posting as much as possible to outside sources like photobucket until he can get a handle on how things are going.
We were also discussing the idea of either a library forum to hold all reference materials that is alphabetized by brand and then topic within brand, or a sub-forum within each forum to hold only reference materials.
Although I guess anything done now could be moved later if necessary.

I'm almost positive the sheer size of the PDF will exceed the bandwidth parameters that are in place, giving a return message that it is too big.
Good question that will be eventually ironed out sometime.

Like SixChows said, we're keeping the size of uploads restricted for now. It would be good if you could upload that PDF to your personal webspace (most ISPs offer a modest amount free with your service) or to a hosting service (like photobucket) for the time being. At least until we get a handle on our Bandwidth requirements.

Hey, that's fine by me. I'll just hold off until we can figure out what's what.
I'm just glad my body doesn't have a bandwidth problem, as I am consuming oatmeal, eggs, bacon, and toast as I am posting this and swilling it all down with coffee. The sad part is that I'm already planning lunch as I eat my breakfast - Hmmm, couple of ham and cheese sandos along with a couple of beers. ;)
