I got to use one of these this summer and was quite surprised at how well it worked. I'm used to much larger more powerfull gasoline powered mowers, but I can see where this mower would be perfect for someone with a very small lawn, or that is sensitive to the noise or weight of a gas mower. I used it on a lawn approx. 100 feet long by 35 feet wide, and I did waste some time dealing with the cord, but once I figured out how to deal with it, things sped up. I was cutting slightly damp grass in the mulching mode, and although it did leave some clumps, a lot less than I expected. For the low cost, low noise, minimum maintenance, required of this mower, it's certainly a choice to consider for a small lawn. I would have said "no way" before using it, but totally changed my mind after.

That cordless model sells for $449 at Lowes. That a BIG hunk of change compared to the corded model, but it does offer the convenience of no wire.
