So...
Joe (my best-friend) and I decided that we were tired of paying other folks for hay (especially at $4-$6.50/bale), and... Joe had just bought 12 acres and we have or can find a few small (>10 acres) tracts that we can get cheap or just to get the hay off of it.
To that end, I bought 4 JD#5 mowers, off of eBay, last fall (got all 4 for $150), in various states of disrepair. None of these were "hook-up and go" ready, so... I had my work cut out for me.
Here're a couple of shots from 'before'. They are going to be a bit "indistinguishable", but they really are, more or less, piles of rusted metal...

I finished my 1st one, this weekend, and tried it out. :woohoo1: It works!!!
I'll try and get some pictures taken (maybe tonight?) of the "after" product, as well as my test cutting...
Some additional information;
I'm running the mower with a 1950 8N Ford, we're going to be using an Allis Chalmers 88 rake and a Massey Ferguson 124 (square) baler.
