So for a AC B there are three options
a)Blue letters (Long letter A and long letter S)
b)Black letters (Even letter height)
c)Black letters (Long letter A and long letter S)
For a 1948 model which would you order A,B,C,? :bonk:
mines a 48 and its got the black even height letters i guess i'd pick b

If you look on google books for allis chalmers books there is a book that you can view online that has the placment and type of decal to use.

I realize that this an old posting, but because tractorboy brought it back from the dead, I thought I'd add my .02.
Steiner lists the decals like this. I'm not saying we are right, I'm just saying that this is how it is listed based on our research and the research of one of the decal manufacturers.
B (up to and including 1939) -- Blue with Long A & S DEC051 (http://www.steinertractor.com/detail.aspx?ID=680)
B (1939 - 1940) -- Black with Long A & S DEC288 (http://www.steinertractor.com/detail.aspx?ID=110)
B (1941 - 1957) -- Black with even letters DEC255 (http://www.steinertractor.com/detail.aspx?ID=108)
If you follow the links, you can see pics of what we sell. Now, these are mylar sets and you of course also have the option of upgrading to special order vinyl cuts. Oh, so many options!
Maybe this will help someone later.
