you guys doing any sort of new years resolution?

One thing i want to do is lose about 20 lbs... Im 237 - about my highest weight...

Id like to get down to about 200-210

I finish therapy in 3 weeks and am now looking for an eliptical machine.. Those things are a great workout and are easier on my knees than a treadmill... and not as boring as a stationary bike..

you guys got any new years resolutions?

I guess it would be focusing on loosing 20 lbs. and quit smoking. I got a chance at working in a homeland security position around March this coming year and need to get some weight off, plus after 40 years of smoking it's time to hang it up before it hangs me up :coffee:

Well I am going to lose some weight and get a better handle on my health. My older brothers all started doing the same thing when they got to my age (46) and they have been on me since my last birthday. my next older brother is 5 years older than me and he found out some scary cholesteral and other risks that he has since dealt with through diet and excersise. I know I need to do the same for my families sake as well as my own. Its no fun acting like a grown up though.

Why does everyone need to loose weight? Ok I do too. I took a few months off of exercise to get house projects done. I've been cross country skiing regularly for a few weeks now.

I guess my resolution would be to keep up with the exercise and see where it gets me. No real weight goals or anything like that. Just stay in shape.

Losing another 20 lbs (through work out-doors not dieting). Find a job so I can buy more toys and build a barn.

Weight loss seems to be a common one. My new years resolution is gonna be to quit making any future new years resolutions. LOL

No really, i'd also like to lose about 20 lbs., and although I am not planning on quitting smoking at this particular time, I have cut way back in the past 1.5 month. I plan to quit in the near future, but the holidays are honestly too stressful to try and quit then. Ya gotta be ready to do it, and you have to want to quit. Im just not ready.

Maybe doing this wrong, I seem to fail at my resolution.
I'm going to change my resloution to:
Keep the same weight or add 30 lbs.
Make less money and not win the Lotto

I resolve to make no resolutions. Why promise yourself something that you will feel guilty for failing to keep.

Sides I weigh the same as I did when I was 25 ROF

Well, my main one is to finish losing the weight I started losing 2 years ago. I have 10 more pounds to go, and my journey will be finished and will have lost 170 pounds. I am already at a "normal" body weight, these last 10 pounds I'm doing 'cause I want to. :D

Other than that, I just want to keep working on being the best husband and dad I can be. Always room for improvement in those areas!

Oh... and staying healthy and enjoying life!

I resolved not to play any more basketball until I lost 20 pounds, but that only lasted five days into the new year when I was pressured into a pickup game while running on the treadmill...

Kind of a New Years resolution only that it is a New Year. After going on our Carribean cruise and feeling like a whale in a swim suit I decided I needed a change.... I am 6'1" and active, but my weight has gotten out of hand, because of many reasons that I have control of. (Fast food restaurants, too much Coke Classic, unhealthy eating habits).

When I was farming I weighed 185-190. Up until a couple of years ago I was at 210..still acceptable given how muscular I am (not bragging) When I got home from the cruise I decided it was time to do something, so I got on the scale weighed in at 260, measured my chest 50" measured my stomach 50" and my waist 42"....wrote those measurements down and started on a plan to lose weight and inches, and make some lifestyle changes.

As of today I weigh 238, 48" chest, 46" stomach, and 40 " waist....it's working and I plan on sticking to it.
