We're considering getting an Olympus SP500UZ and I wanted to find out if anyone here has experience with this one? I've done a lot of research and IMO it has the best quality for the buck.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Sorry no one is responding. Don't know anything about the model you are interested in but I'm on my second C-7xx model and one son has a C-760. We've enjoyed them and are satified with pic quality. Like with most digital cameras real low light conditions are hard on autofocus.

Looks like a very nice camera, and a good 10x zoom. Olympus is a quality maker, and I'm sure you are going to enjoy it. It's so new, there are no reviews from the two places i go to, dpreview and Steve's Digicams, but the user reviews are very good.

:ditto: I had looked at those places, too, but didn't have any luck. Best way to judge a camera once you have researched its capabilities is to go to a store and handle one. Most places are pretty good nowadays about having powered floor models.

I have a Camedia C-700 and can say nothing but good things about Olympus cameras as I use mine in the field for wildlife shots and it has taken a beating the last 6yrs and has never let me down with its superb picture and color quality.
